Abstract: A masterbatch composition made from or containing: 65 to 85 wt % of a propylene homopolymer or copolymer as component (1) containing 0 to 3 wt % of ethylene or one or more C4-C10-α-olefin-derived units; and 15 to 35 wt % of a propylene-ethylene copolymer as component (2) containing 25 to 35 wt % of ethylene-derived units, wherein the masterbatch composition has: 1) a melt flow rate (230° C., load: 21.18 N) of 5 to 30 g/10 minutes; 2) xylene insolubles with an Mw of 10×104 to 30×104 and an Mw/Mn of 6 to 20 as measured by GPC; and 3) xylene solubles with an intrinsic viscosity of 5.5 to 9.0 dl/g.

Abstract: A polypropylene composition made from or containing: (i) component (1) made from or containing a propylene/ethylene copolymer containing more than 1.5% by weight and not more than 4% by weight of an ethylene-derived unit; (ii) component (2) made from or containing an ethylene/propylene copolymer containing 65 to 87% by weight of an ethylene-derived unit; and (iii) 0.01 to 0.5 parts by weight of a crystal nucleating agent, based on a total of 100 parts by weight of component (1) and component (2); wherein the polypropylene composition has 1) weight ratio of component (1) to component (2) is in the range of 80:20 to 90:10, 2) intrinsic viscosity of xylene solubles (XSIV) in the range of 0.8 to 1.4 dl/g, 3) MFR (at 230° C. under a load of 2.16 kg) in the range of 5 to 15 g/10 min., 4) viscosity ratio in the range of 0.40 to 0.80 where Viscosity ratio = XSIV Intrinsic viscosity of component ( 1 ) .

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a heterophasic polypropylene compositions comprising 78-85% by weight of a propylene homopolymer or copolymer matrix with up to 2.0% by weight of ethylene units, 15-22% by weight of an elastomeric ethylene-propylene copolymer and a clarifying agent. The composition has an intrinsic viscosity of the xylene soluble fraction at room temperature of from 0.5 to 1.5 dl/g and a melt flow rate (230° C., 2.16 kg) of 0.5 to 10 g/10 min. The compositions of the present disclosure can be used to prepare sheets for thermoforming applications.
