Abstract: A catalyst system for purifying an exhaust gas, comprising one or more antimony-containing regions comprising an antimony-containing catalyst, particularly antimony-containing SCR catalyst, and one or more antimony-trapping regions comprising a molecular sieve which is optionally metal-promoted, wherein at least one of the antimony-trapping regions is located downstream of the one or more antimony-containing regions in a flow direction of the exhaust gas, and also a method for treatment of an exhaust gas containing nitrogen oxides.

Abstract: A catalyst composition comprising—a support comprising TiO2,—a composite oxide containing vanadium and antimony, which has a rutile-type structure different from VSbO4 and V0.92Sb0.92O4 as determined by X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis with CuKα radiation, and—optionally, one or more selected from the group consisting of oxides of silicon, oxides of vanadium and oxides of antimony, for selective catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxides; to a process for preparing the catalyst composition, to the catalyst composition obtained/obtainable by the process and to use of the same for selective catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxides.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a catalytic article for purifying an exhaust gas containing nitrogen oxides, which comprises a first region containing a vanadium-based SCR catalyst, a second region containing a metal-promoted molecular sieve catalyst, and a third region containing a vanadium-based SCR catalyst, wherein at least part of the second region is located downstream of at least part of the first region and upstream of at least part of the third region in the exhaust gas flow direction, provided that no part of the second region is located upstream of the first region or downstream of the third region. The present invention also relates to a method and a system for treatment of an exhaust gas containing nitrogen oxides by selective catalytic reduction using the catalytic article.

Abstract: A method for production of vanadium catalysts, including steps of 1) providing a mixture comprising a TiO2-based support and a composite oxide containing vanadium and antimony; 2) preparing a slurry containing the mixture obtained from step 1), and additive comprising at least one species selected from the group consisting of Si, Al, Zr, Ti, W and Mo, and a solvent; and 3) applying the slurry onto a substrate or processing the slurry into shaped bodies. The vanadium catalysts obtained/obtainable from the method, and use thereof for abatement of nitrogen oxides (NOx).
