Abstract: The disclosure relates to a fuel supply device for supplying a fuel to an internal combustion engine comprising: a fuel store for storing a primary fuel; and at least two parallel fuel supply paths that are connected to the fuel store, on the one hand, and to the internal combustion engine, on the other hand, wherein the primary fuel can be supplied from the fuel store to the internal combustion engine by means of the first fuel supply path for the purpose of combustion, and the second fuel supply path has at least one reforming device that reforms the primary fuel supplied from the fuel tank into a secondary fuel, and to supply at least a portion of the produced secondary fuel to the internal combustion engine for the purpose of combustion.

Abstract: A selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst composition effective in the abatement of nitrogen oxides (NOx) is provided. The SCR catalyst composition significantly increases the conversion of NOx relative to a Cu-chabazite reference catalyst composition at any temperature, and especially at low temperatures. A catalyst article, an exhaust gas treatment system, and a method of treating an exhaust gas stream, each including the SCR catalyst composition of the invention, are also provided. The SCR catalyst composition is particularly useful for treatment of exhaust from a lean-burn engine.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of preparing a catalyst article comprising steps: (a) preparing a washcoat composition by combining at least the following components: a support material comprising a mixed oxide, a mixture of oxides or a molecular sieve comprising (i) alumina and (ii) silica and/or zirconia; a metal oxide sol comprising at least one of titania, silica or zirconia; a liquid medium; (b) applying the washcoat composition to a substrate to form a washcoating; and (c) drying and/or calcining the washcoating; wherein the method further comprises a step of impregnating the support material with a platinum group metal component. The prepared catalyst article may be suitable for the treatment of emissions from an internal combustion engine or a gas turbine, for example, the treatment of carbon monoxide and/or formaldehyde emissions from a natural gas fueled internal combustion engine or gas turbine.

Abstract: An aftertreatment system includes: a first exhaust gas path comprising a heater; a second exhaust gas path comprising a first decomposition chamber configured to receive reductant and a first selective catalytic reduction catalyst downstream of the first decomposition chamber; a combined exhaust gas path downstream of the first exhaust gas path and the second exhaust gas path, the combined exhaust gas path configured to receive exhaust gas from both the first exhaust gas path and the second exhaust gas path; a selector valve configured to divert the exhaust gas between the first exhaust gas path and the second exhaust gas path based on a temperature of the exhaust gas; and a controller programmed to control the selector valve.

Abstract: A silicon carbide porous body contains β-SiC particles, Si particles, and metal silicide particles. The maximum particle diameter of the β-SIC particles is not smaller than 15 μm. The content of the Si particles is not lower than 10 mass %. The maximum particle diameter of the Si particles is not larger than 40 μm. Further, an oxide coating film having a thickness not smaller than 0.01 μm and not larger than 5 μm is provided on surfaces of the Si particles.
