Abstract: A patch panel assembly, bezel and modular jacks are disclosed which allow modular jacks to be positioned closer together to increase patch panel density. In particular the modular jacks are equipped with features which engage openings which are offset, allowing for the modular jacks to be positioned closer together, in particular when arranged in adjacent parallel rows.

Abstract: An assembly configured to receive twisted pairs of conductors terminated by a miniplug and a pair of conductor contacts. The assembly comprises a housing comprising a first surface comprising a socket disposed therein; wherein the socket is configured to accept a plurality of miniplugs, illustratively in a 2×2 configuration, wherein pairs of socket contacts are exposed along at least one side wall of the socket and wherein the socket contacts are configured to be aligned with the conductor contacts such that each of the conductor contacts is in contact with a respective one of the socket contacts. A caddy is also provided which allows the miniplugs to be arranged in a 2×2 arrangement for subsequent insertion into a socket or the like.
