Abstract:
An intracavity modulator is disclosed in which a laser and an acousto-optic modulator are located in a cavity comprised of at least two high reflectivity mirrors. The geometry of the cavity is such that a beam of radiation from the laser has a waist in a region near the center of curvature of one of the mirrors. The acousto-optic modulator is located in this region. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, three mirrors are used to form a Vshaped cavity. The laser is located between two of these mirrors in one side of the V, and the acousto-optic modulator is located in the other side of the V.
Abstract:
A laser cavity defined by convex and concave mirrors and including a discrete intracavity lens is characterized by a relatively large TEMoo spot radius, a short physical length and good stability.
Abstract:
A mask structure for use in an x-ray lithographic system comprises as the substrate thereof a Mylar film stretched over and bonded to a support ring. The stretched Mylar film exhibits an attractive combination of advantageous properties such as high planarity, dimensional stability, mechanical strength, low x-ray absorption, resistance to organic solvents, optical transparency, and ready availability in a variety of thicknesses with optical quality surfaces.
