Abstract: An embolic coil delivery assembly is disclosed. The delivery system may include a tubular member having a distal portion, a proximal portion and a lumen extending therein. The system may further include a tip member secured to the tubular member. The tip member may include a distal portion and a bonding portion. The bonding portion may include a bonding surface. The system may also include an embolic coil releasably disposed within the distal portion of the tip member. The distal portion of the tubular member may extend over the bonding portion of the tip member. The bonding surface may be configured to mechanically interlock with the tubular member.

Abstract: A medical device system may include an elongate shaft having a lumen extending from a proximal end of the elongate shaft to a distal end of the elongate shaft, a medical device disposed proximate the distal end of the elongate shaft, a release wire disposed within the lumen of the elongate shaft, wherein the release wire releasably secures the medical device to the distal end of the elongate shaft, a securement member fixedly attached to the proximal end of the elongate shaft and to a proximal end of the release wire, and a microcatheter configured to deliver the medical device to a treatment site, the elongate shaft and the medical device being slidably disposed within a lumen of the microcatheter. A proximal portion of the securement member may be configured to disengage from a distal portion of the securement member.

Abstract: A medical device for renal denervation may include a catheter shaft including an outer shaft having a lumen formed therein and an inner shaft extending within the lumen of the outer shaft. The catheter may further include an expandable member having a proximal region coupled to a distal region of the outer shaft, and a distal region of the expandable member may be coupled to a distal region of the inner shaft. In some embodiments, one or more active electrodes may be disposed on an exterior surface of the expandable member and capable of providing the renal denervation treatment. In some embodiments, the inner shaft may be rotatable in relation to the outer shaft and/or the outer shaft may be rotatable in relation to the inner shaft.

Abstract: Medical devices and methods for making and using the same are disclosed. An example medical device may include a medical device for renal nerve ablation. The medical device may include an elongate shaft having a distal region. An expandable member may be coupled to the distal region. A plurality of electrodes may be coupled to the expandable member and a single conductive member may be coupled to each electrode. Where one of the plurality of electrodes is active, the remaining electrodes may be inactive and act as ground or return electrodes. The electrode of the plurality of electrodes that is active may change over time.
