    Abstract: A method for maintaining filaments in position when manufacturing composite parts through a filament winding process. In its most basic form the method includes a first step of applying resin impregnated filament (16) onto an elongate mandrel (12). A second step is involved of winding yarn (32) onto the elongate mandrel (12) overlying the resin impregnated filament (16), to maintain the resin impregnated filament (16) in position and under tension.

    Abstract: A dual function portable stereo unit including a portable playback mechanism adapted to generate an unamplified audio signal upon the actuation thereof. The playback mechanism comprising a standard output jack for communicating the audio signal therefrom whereby the playback mechanism may be employed portably with a set of standard headphones in a first mode of operation. An amplifier and associated speakers are adapted to allow the amplification of the unamplified audio signal and further transmit the amplified audio signal via free space. A control unit is situated within a glove box of a vehicle and electrically connected to the inputs of the amplifier for manipulating the unamplified audio signal and further allowing the selective transmission thereof to the amplifier. The control unit further includes an input jack adapted to receive the unamplified audio signal and allow the employment of the playback mechanism within the car as a car stereo in a second mode of operation. Finally, a control unit is adapted to releasably couple between the input jack of the control unit and output jack of the playback mechanism for allowing the transmission of the unamplified audio signal from the playback mechanism to the control unit.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a programmable data collection and relay circuit for a towed hydrophone array. The circuit is designed to prepare data concerning operation of the array to be interleaved with substantive data produced by the hydrophones to produce a single data stream for transmission to recording equipment.     Abstract: A method for installing poles in rock surface which includes the step of firstly drilling an annular hole in a rock. The annular hole being drilled such that a centrally positioned core of rock remains extending upwardly through the annular hole. Next, a pole is provided that has a first end and a second end; with a socket positioned at the first end.
