The silicon compound comprises silica, silica gel, ammonium hexafluorosilicate, potassium hexafluorosilicate, sodium hexafluorosilicate, magnesium hexafluorosilicate, or a combination thereof.

摘要: Embodiments of an anti-glare article and methods for forming the same are disclosed. In one or more embodiments, the anti-glare article includes a substrate having a surface, and a plurality of features disposed on the surface, wherein about 50% or more of the plurality of features comprise a normalized area in the range from about 0.5 to about 1.5, and the normalized area is defined as the relationship (surface area of a feature/average surface area of all features). In some embodiments, about 90% or more of the features have a surface area of about 100 micrometers or less. The anti-glare article exhibits a PPDr of about 5% or less, a transmission haze of less than about 20% and a DOI of less than about 90%. Methods of forming the substrate are also disclosed and include etching a surface of a substrate with an etchant comprising a water soluble metal ion salt.

摘要: A method of forming a textured glass article comprises: submerging an aluminosilicate glass article in an etchant to an upper submerging depth from a surface of the etchant and at a tilting angle, wherein the aluminosilicate glass article comprises a first major surface and a second major surface opposite the first surface, wherein the tilting angle is a smallest angle between a normal to the first major surface and a vertical; holding the aluminosilicate glass article in the etchant for a holding time; and after the holding time, cycling the aluminosilicate glass article in the etchant between the upper submerging depth and a lower submerging depth deeper than the upper submerging depth for a cycling time.

摘要: A glass article is provided (and methods of making the same) that includes: a glass substrate comprising a thickness and a first primary surface; and a porosity-graded layer that extends from the first primary surface of the substrate to a first depth within the substrate. The first depth is from about 250 nm to about 3000 nm. The porosity-graded layer comprises a plurality of pores having an average pore size from about 5 nm to 100 nm. The article comprises a single-side average reflectance of less than 9% at an incident angle of 60 degrees across a spectrum from 350 nm to 2000 nm. Further, the porosity-graded layer comprises a surface porosity at the first primary surface and a bulk porosity at the first depth, the surface porosity greater than the bulk porosity.

摘要: Anti-glare glass-based articles and methods of processing a glass based article to reduce warp are disclosed. A method for processing a glass-based article includes etching a first surface of the glass article to create a first anti-glare surface having a plurality of first anti-glare features and etching a second surface of the glass-based article to create a second anti-glare surface having a plurality of second anti-glare features. At least one of a length, a width, and a diagonal of the glass-based article is greater than or equal to 500 mm. A difference of warp between a first warp value before etching the first surface and the second surface and a second warp value after etching the first surface and the second surface is less than or equal to 0.15 mm across each of one or more 500 mm intervals of length, width, or diagonal of the glass-based article.
