Abstract: An apparatus includes one or more processing circuits comprising one or more memory devices coupled to one or more processors, the one or more memory devices configured to store instructions thereon that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processing circuits to perform various operations. The operations include wirelessly receiving a plurality of fault codes from a vehicle control system; prioritizing each fault code within the plurality of fault codes; determining a first root cause fault code corresponding to the highest prioritized fault code in the plurality of fault codes; determining a first set of interaction fault codes, the first set of interaction fault codes relating to the first root cause fault code based on a causal relationship; and wirelessly transmitting the first root cause fault code and the first set of interaction fault codes to a display of an interface device.

Abstract: A method for controlling the distribution of power to a traction motor in a plug-in electric vehicle having a plurality of on-board sources of electric power. Power is distributed at a normal power control relationship in response to an operator control input during operation in a normal mode. Power is depleted at a first rate during operation of the vehicle in the normal mode. Power is distributed at a derate power control relationship in response to the operator control input during operation in a derate mode. Power is depleted at a second rate that is less than the first rate during operation in the derate mode to conserve the power of the one or more on-board sources. Operation in the derate mode can be initiated in response to information from sensors identifying a vehicle condition indicating a battery charge limitation.

Abstract: A fault code analyzer for a vehicle includes a fault code memory device configured to store a plurality of active and inactive fault codes for the vehicle and a priority processor coupled to the memory device. The priority processor is configured to: prioritize each fault code within the plurality of active and inactive fault codes; determine a first root cause fault code, the first root cause fault code corresponding to the highest prioritized fault code; determine a first set of interaction fault codes, the first set of interaction fault codes relating to the first root cause fault code; and provide the first root cause fault code and the first set of interaction fault codes to an interface device of a user.
