Abstract: A blower includes a shaft and a centrifugal fan. The centrifugal fan includes a plurality of blades, a shroud and a main plate. Each of the plurality of blades has a leading edge and a trailing edge. At each blade, a negative pressure surface of an air inlet section of the blade, which is closer to the leading edge than the trailing edge, has a projection that projects toward a positive pressure surface of an adjacent one of the plurality of blades. At least a portion of the positive pressure surface of the air inlet section is inclined toward a forward side in a rotational direction of the centrifugal fan to progressively extend toward the forward side in the rotational direction as the portion of the positive pressure surface of the air inlet section extends toward the main plate.

Abstract: A fluid discharge device is for discharging a fluid includes a duct defining a fluid flow passage and having an opening at a downstream end of the fluid flow passage. The fluid discharge device includes a grill portion disposed in the fluid flow passage to adjust a flow direction of the fluid blown from the opening. The grill portion includes at least an adjustment fin rotatably arranged in the fluid flow passage, and is provided with an auxiliary flow passage that guides a part of the fluid flowing through the fluid flow passage to the opening as an auxiliary flow. The auxiliary flow passage is configured together with the adjustment fin to adjust a flow direction of the auxiliary flow discharged from the auxiliary flow passage to be aligned with the flow direction of the fluid flowing through the fluid flow passage.

Abstract: An airflow generating device includes an airflow generating portion, a duct, and a controller. The airflow generating portion is configured to generate an airflow. The duct is configured to guide the airflow to a blowing outlet through which the airflow is blown out toward a passenger in a vehicle cabin. The controller is configured to cause the airflow to be intermittently blown out through the blowing outlet by controlling a frequency of a pulse voltage applied to the air flow generating portion and a duty ratio of a pulse width to a pulse period of the pulse voltage. The controller is configured to control the duty ratio and the frequency of the voltage such that the airflow is blown out through the blowing outlet at a speed between a predetermined lower limit, inclusive, and a maximum lower limit, non-inclusive, which is greater than the lower limit.

Abstract: A humidification device is used in a vehicle air conditioner having a cooler disposed in an air conditioning case. The air conditioning case has a ventilation path leading air into a vehicle compartment. The humidification device has an adsorber that absorbs and desorbs moisture, a blower, a door that opens or closes an air flow path, and a controller. The controller switches the air flow path by controlling the door to set (i) a dehumidification mode in which air cooled by the cooler is led to the adsorber, and moisture in the air is adsorbed by the adsorber or (ii) a humidification mode in which air is led to the adsorber, the moisture is moved from the adsorber to the air to humidify the air, and the humidified air is blown toward an occupant.
