    Abstract: An intelligent simultaneous core that provides coordination between private core(s) and public core(s) (i.e., carrier core(s)) to improve network throughput and efficiency is disclosed. Both the private core(s) and the public core(s) may be configured for and facilitate 5G communications. Network procedures and protocols may intelligently divide processing throughput based on factors such as capacity, bit rate, etc. When only a particular data throughput can be supported, for example, a simultaneous core connection can be utilized.

    Abstract: Techniques are described for reducing channel quality indication (CQI) reporting by user equipment (UEs) by selectively triggering the UEs to report CQI based at least on present physical location. UEs are controllable by base stations to toggle between active and inactive CQI reporting modes (inactive being the default mode). By default, base stations can make channel-state-based determinations based on previously reported CQI information stored as location-mapped CQI entries. Base stations can monitor the physical locations of UEs to determine when they are in locations with stale location-mapped CQI entries. If a UE is detected as being in such a location, a base station can direct the UE to toggle into active CQI reporting mode, thereby causing the UE to compute its CQI and transmit a CQI report. The base station can use the reported information to update the CQI score of the location-mapped CQI entry for that location.

    Abstract: Systems and methods to utilize user device network slicing and cell support to manage handover of communications for user device. A request to handover management of a user device from a first cell to a second cell is received. One or more possible cells for the handover are then identified. If the user device is utilizing network slicing, then the second cell is selected from the one or more possible cells based on that cell also supporting network slicing. If the cell supports the same network slice as being utilized by the user device, then the handover of the user device to the second cell is initiated.

    Abstract: Various arrangements for cellular network slice usage management are presented herein. In response to an application being launched for execution, an access point name (APN) list update request can be transmitted. In response, an APN list update can be transmitted back to the UE based on the application being executed. The UE's stored APN list can be updated based on the APN list update.     Abstract: A system comprises a home network including a Radio Access Network and a core network, a roaming network, and a User Equipment (UE) subscribing to the home network and the roaming network. The UE is configured to determine, while connected to a control plane of the core network, that the UE is not connected to a user plane of the core network. In response, the UE connects to the roaming network. While connected to the roaming network, the UE periodically attempts to connect to the home network. The UE switches back to the home network upon successfully connecting to the control plane and the user plane of the core network.
