An angling device comprising a housing arranged with an arm with a pivot to the housing at a proximal end and a line capture jaw at a distal end, a location means for location of the line capture jaw in use on a line of an angling rod, and a mechanism for pivoting the arm from a second position where the line capture jaw locates on the line in a second location on the rod, to a first position where the line capture jaw locates on the line in a first location on the rod, wherein the mechanism is activated automatically after movement of the line to the second location on the rod.
Abstract:
A method of monitoring the flow of fluid within or from an oil or gas reservoir includes inserting a solid tracer into the reservoir. The tracer comprises at least one metal selected from caesium, niobium, tantalum, tellurium, terbium, lanthanum, gold, iridium, osmium, silver, platinum, palladium, rhenium, ruthenium, rhodium, hafnium, indium, a metal of the Lanthanide series of the periodic table, or a salt thereof. A sample of fluid within or flowing from the reservoir is collected and analysed to determine the amount of the tracer contained in the sample. A perforation tool allows for insertion of the tracer within the formation.

A telescope comprises a folding reflector comprising a plurality of sections configured to fold at a plurality of substantially parallel hinges, a support structure configured to support at least two of the plurality of sections of the folding reflector and further configured to fold at one of the plurality of substantially parallel hinges, a corrector assembly configured to deploy from a stowed position in which an optical axis of the corrector assembly is substantially parallel to the parallel hinges to a deployed position in which the optical axis is substantially perpendicular to the folding reflector when the folding reflector is deployed. The telescope further comprises a hexapod configured to stow and deploy the corrector assembly.

Method of marking a hydrocarbon liquid includes adding to the liquid, a tracer compound of Formula I or II: wherein at least one of R1-R6 in Formula I and at least one of R7-R14 in Formula II is selected from: i. a bromine or fluorine atom; ii. a partially or fully halogenated alkyl group; iii. a branched or cyclic C4-C20 alkyl group; iv. an aliphatic substituent linking two positions selected from R1-R6 in Formula I to one another or two positions selected from R7-R14 in Formula II to one another; or v. a phenyl group substituted with a halogen atom, an aliphatic group or halogenated aliphatic group and none of R1-R6 and none of R7-R14 being a sulphonate group or COOR15, where R15 represents H, C1-C20 alkyl, C2-C20 alkenyl, C2-C20 alkynyl, C3-C15 cycloalkyl or aryl.
