Abstract: Liquid multipurpose alkaline compositions for use as pre-sprays to beneficially remove polymerized soils, de-stain, remove hard water deposits and/or otherwise assist in general cleaning of difficult soils are provided. The multipurpose alkaline compositions include at least one non-hydroxide alkaline source, at least one surfactant, a chelant and a solvent system. The multipurpose alkaline compositions can be PPE free compositions. Methods of using the multipurpose alkaline compositions as pre-treatments, soaks and/or application in machine and manual warewash are also provided. Methods for using the multipurpose alkaline compositions for removing tea stains, coffee stains, hard water scale/deposits, polymerized oils, carbonized soils, fats, oils, and cosmetics are further provided.

Abstract: Liquid antimicrobial compositions with yeasticidal and virucidal efficacy including at least one acid, an alkyl ether carboxylic acid, and an additional surfactant, wherein the use pH is less than about 5 are disclosed. Abstract: The present invention relates to a surfactant booster for use in high foaming cleaning compositions. In an aspect of the invention, a C6, C7, C8, C9, C10, C11 or C12 linear alcohol in very low amounts is added to increase surface activity, foam and wetting properties of the composition. The alcohol is added in an amount of alcohol to surfactant of about 1:100 to 1:200 and must be linear. In another aspect, the invention relates to novel cleaning compositions such as pot and pan soaking compositions, dishwashing compositions, food and beverage foaming cleaners, vehicle cleaning and the like suitable for use in hard water, which can be solid or liquid. The invention further relates to methods of making these compositions, and to methods employing these compositions.

Abstract: Warewash detergent compositions with reducing agents to overcome corrosion challenges in stainless steel dish machines subject to conditions from chlorine sanitizing rinse steps (or other oxidizing chlorine containing compositions) are provided. Liquid and solid detergent composition beneficially containing a reducing agent that reacts with chlorine introduced in sanitizing rinse steps that follow detergent cleaning steps are provided. Methods for ware washing using the detergent compositions with reducing agents and methods for reducing residual chlorine in a ware washing cycle are also provided.

Abstract: Sanitizing compositions, including sanitizing rinse aid compositions, are provided and include antimicrobial quaternary ammonium compounds, namely alkyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chlorides (ADBAC), alkyl dimethyl ethyl benzyl ammonium chlorides (ADEBAC), and dialkyl dimethyl ammonium chlorides (DAAC), in combination with an acid source. The sanitizing compositions and methods of using the same provide enhanced sanitizing efficacy at an acidic pH and/or reduced concentration of the antimicrobial quaternary ammonium compound. The compositions can be used as general sanitizing agents or in machine ware washing as a sanitizing rinse aid, including a multipurpose (e.g. 2-in-1) sanitizing rinse aid with surface activity. Sanitizing compositions and methods of employing the same beneficially provide sanitizing efficacy with as low as 20 ppm of the quaternary ammonium compounds against various microorganisms, including Staphylococcus spp. and Escherichia spp. including at low temperatures and an acidic pH.
