摘要： A digital scan converter is disclosed for processing the sequence of analog signals supplied by a sector scanning surveillance system to form a signal compatible with television type display devices. The signals supplied by the surveillance system are digitized by an analog-to-digital converter at a rate proportional to the cosine of the azimuthal scan angle that is associated with each analog signal to thereby effect a first portion of the required conversion from the polar coordinate format of the surveillance system to the Cartesian coordinate format of the television display. The digitized signals are stored in a memory so as to permit addressing of a set of stored data that corresponds to one horizontal trace of the television display. The data sets corresponding to successive horizontal lines of the television display are sequentially accessed in accordance with conventional television timing signals and data is serially read from memory and supplied to a digital-to-analog converter at a rate that completes the required polar-to-Cartesian format conversion.

摘要： An alkyl and/or aryl silyl ether capped polyether surfactant useful in cleaning compositions. The polyether is described in conjunction with automatic dishwashing detergent composition having improved chlorine bleach stability comprising:(a) an active chlorine containing compound selected from the group consisting of chlorinated trisodium phosphate, chlorinated cyanuric acid and alkali metal salts thereof, 2,3-dichloro-5,5-dimethylhydantoin, hypochlorite bleach and mixtures thereof to yield available chlorine in an amount of from about 0.1 percent to 5 percent;(b) about 0.1 percent to 5 percent of a chlorine bleach stable nonionic surfactant having the general formula:Y[A.sub.1 O).sub.n (A.sub.2 O.sub.m (A.sub.3 O).sub.p (X).sub.q A.sub.4 ].sub.z wherein Y is the residue of an organic compound having from 1 to 8, preferably 1 to 4, reactive hydrogens as measured by the Zerevitinov determination method; z is a number from 1 to 8, A.sub.1, A.sub.2 and A.sub.3 are C.sub.2 to C.sub.4 alkylene groups, tetramethylene, and mixtures thereof; n+m+p are numbers such that the total molecular weight of the uncapped portion of the molecule is from about 500 to 25,000 and the molecular weight of the hydrophile is 5 to 35 weight percent and the molecular weight of the hydrophobe is from 65 to 95 weight percent of the total weight of the molecule; X is a hydrocarbon residue containing 2 to 30 carbon atoms, preferably the residue (--CR.sub.1 R.sub.2 CR.sub.3 R.sub.4 CR.sub.5 R.sub.6 --) where R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3, R.sub.4, R.sub.5 and R.sub.6 are H, methyl, and mixtures thereof, q is a number from 0 to 1, A.sub.4 is an Si R'.sub.3 group wherein R' is a C.sub. 1 to C.sub.30 alkyl, a C.sub.1 to C.sub.30 oxyalkyl, a C.sub.6 to C.sub.30 aryl group, and mixtures thereof; and(c) the balance water.

摘要： A digital scan converter is disclosed wherein signal information supplied by a sector scanning surveillance system relative to a polar coordinate system is converted to a signal for driving a television-type display or other Cartesian coordinate device by: (a) sampling the signal associated with each consecutive scanning path of the surveillance system at a rate determined by the azimuthal angle that defines the scanning path of interest; (b) storing each set of signal samples as a column of data in a rectangular memory array; (c) accessing the stored data on a row-by-row basis; and (d) utilizing a previously determined mapping strategy to cause each accessed signal sample to form a segment of a line of display within the Cartesian-formulated display devices so that the length of the segment formed by each signal sample is determined by the row and column address of the storage location that is associated therewith when forming a television compatible signal, each signal sample dictates video signal level during a portion of a corresponding horizontal sweep period that is determined by the mapping strategy.

摘要： A laundry detergency boosting polymer blend additive is made up of: a) a graft copolymer of polyalkylene oxide with vinyl ester, the graft copolymer having a molecular weight within the range of about 5,000 to 50,000; and b) at least one polycarboxylate selected from the group consisting of acrylic/maleic acid copolymers having a molecular weight within the range of about 1,000 to 100,000, and polyacrylic acid having a molecular weight of from about 1,000 to 100,000. The polymer blend additive is effective in water with an ion hardness in the range of about 50 to 500 ppm. The detergency boosting performance of the polymer blend additive is maintained or increased as the concentration of the hardness ions in water is increased.

摘要： Cleaning compositions, especially liquid detergent compositions containing chlorine bleach, are disclosed. The compositions include a chlorine bleach stable nonionic surfactant which is a mixture of the formulay[A.sub.1 O).sub.n (A.sub.2 O).sub.n' (A.sub.3 O).sub.n' H].sub.mwherein A.sub.1 and A.sub.2 are C.sub.2 -C.sub.4 alkylene groups, tetramethylene and mixtures thereof, A.sub.3 is a sterically hindered C.sub.4 -C.sub.30 alkylene group, C.sub.4 -C.sub.30 arylalkylene group, and mixtures thereof, n+n'=a value such that the total molecular weight of the uncapped portion of the molecule is about 500 to 25,000, n" is a number from 1 to 8, m is a number from 1 to 8, and Y is the residue of an organic compound having from about 1 to 30 carbon atoms and at least 1 reactive hydrogen atom. The surfactant has a hydrophilic content of from about 5 to 40 weight percent.

摘要： The instant invention relates to a composition comprising a Bisphenol initiated polyoxyalkylene compound, a chlorine releasing compound and water.The Bisphenol initiated alkylene oxide compound is believed to be a cogeneric mixture of polymers denominated by the following formula ##STR1## Wherein A comprises oxyethylene and C.sub.3 -C.sub.5 oxyalkylene groups to form either a heteric or block copolymer; m is a whole number selected to give an overall average molecular weight of the product of 1100 to 15,000, and X is CH.sub.3 or C.sub.2 H.sub.5.The preferred compounds are oxyalkylated Bisphenol block copolymers believed to be a cogeneric mixture of polymers denominated by the following formulas: ##STR2## Wherein X is CH.sub.3 or CH.sub.2 H.sub.5, y is 3 or 4, m and n are whole numbers selected to give an overall molecular weight from about 1100 to 15,000 and a percent of oxyethylene groups from about 10 to 9. This composition has varied uses as a fabric cleaner with bleaching properties and a warewashing composition having a minimum of odor problems. Accordingly, in addition to the above components the invention relates to compositions which may be also contain conventional ingredients for such compositions.

摘要： Machine dishwashing detergents are disclosed containing a low-foaming nonionic surfactant having relatively low cloud point which unexpectedly provides effective detergency, foam control and good rinsing action when utilized as the sole nonionic surfactant. Dishes and other utensils are cleaned to a sparkling clean spot-free condition by the machine dishwashing detergent compositions of the invention containing conventional phosphate builders or non-phosphate builders but excluding conventional alkyl phosphate ester defoaming agents. The machine dishwashing detergent compositions of the invention are effective especially in controlling foam on washing dishes and other utensils encrusted with soils generally encountered on dishes, specifically egg and milk-derived protein soils.
