摘要: A trough reflector for a lighting system is disclosed, wherein the trough reflector produces a lighting pattern having a stepped horizontal cut-off, maximizes collection efficiency, and minimizes undesirable beam patterns. The trough reflector includes a reflective surface having a substantially parabolic curvature for directing light, wherein the reflective surface is split into a first portion and a second portion. The second portion offset relative to the first portion of the trough reflector. The trough reflector further includes a plurality of reflective side walls disposed adjacent the reflective surface, wherein the reflective side walls cooperate with the reflective surface to direct light rays to form a desired lighting pattern.

摘要: An LED headlamp is disclosed, wherein the headlamp is a replacement for a seven inch headlamp. The headlamp includes a housing adapted to replace any conventional seven inch round headlamp, a first light source adapted to be coupled to a source of electrical energy, a second light source adapted to be coupled to a source of electrical energy, a first optical system disposed adjacent the first light source, wherein the first optical system is adapted to provide a low beam lighting pattern, a second optical system disposed adjacent the second light source, wherein the second optical system is adapted to provide a high beam lighting pattern, and a cover lens coupled to the housing for enclosing the first light source, the second light source, the first optical system, and the second optical system within the housing.

The main body has a light-emitting face, a light-collecting face disposed opposite the light-emitting face, and a plurality of focal points, the latter of which form a focal ring. A central axis extends through the light-collecting face and the light-emitting face. The main body is substantially radially symmetrical about the central axis and the focal ring extends around the central axis of the main body of the lens.

摘要: An automotive light assembly produces numerous beam patterns meeting automotive requirements through the reduction of light scatter and collection and redirection in efficiencies. A light source projects light laterally, which is collected by a light conducting body having a hub and a plurality of fingers extending from the hub. By using a plurality of small individual fingers, large and bulky light pipes are eliminated and the light collection and redirection efficiency is improved.

摘要: A projector optic assembly is disclosed for use with various light emitting sources to collect direct the rays of light into a high gradient beam pattern. The projector optic assembly includes a light pipe and a projector lens. The light pipe is segregated into several regions including a reflecting region, a funneling region and a transition plane separating the two regions. At the first end of the reflecting region, closest to the light emitting source, is a connecting lens. At the second end of the funneling region is an emitting aperture that is designed to refract light into the high gradient beam pattern.

摘要: The present invention provides a near field lens for an automotive light assembly. The lens comprises a main body having a radial collimating portion formed as a rotation about a central axis. A light-collecting faces defines pocket in the main body and receives light from the light source. The radial collimating portion is structured to radially direct light in planes normal to the central axis and to collimate light in radial planes through the central axis. By extending the main body, a thin plate near field lens is provided.

The assembly includes a light pipe defining an optical axis and having a collection unit, a funneling unit, and an emitting surface. The collection unit extends from a first end to a transition plane defining the transition from the collection unit to the funneling unit.
