    Abstract: A method to produce an energy storage battery comprising the steps of: providing an electrochemical cell, which is at least partially complete and is provided with an electrical collector; providing a container having a first wall; placing, on an outer surface of the first wall, an outer body, which constitutes an electrical pole of the battery; and inserting the electrochemical cell into the container placing the electrical collector close to the first wall; and
    making a weld between the electrical collector and the outer body in order to establish an electrical connection; wherein the weld is made from the outside of the container operating from the opposite side of the first wall relative to the electrochemical cell.

    Abstract: An apparatus and a transfer process for articles are presented. The articles are transferred without risk of damage when gripped by pincer grip devices, regardless of article shape and gripping manner. The apparatus includes a first transport device, having pincer grip devices, moving along a first closed path, each having pincer claws projecting outward from the first closed path. The pincer claws are movable from a gripping position to a release position. The apparatus also includes a second transport device, having tray-like elements moving along a respective second closed path and configured to receive respective articles resting thereon. The first and second transport devices cooperate with each other at one or two exchange segments where the first closed path is superimposed on said second closed path and where the articles transported in the pincer grip devices are laid on tray-like elements and/or removed therefrom.

    Abstract: A transport unit for moving articles along a conveyor from a first station to a second station is presented. The unit includes a first conveyor segment having entry lanes separated from each other, a second conveyor segment downstream of the first conveyor segment to receive the articles from the first segment and having exit lanes separated from each other, in a number equal to the entry lanes, and a switching device, interposed between the first conveyor segment and the second conveyor segment. The switching device is movable between a first operating configuration, where each entry lane is in communication with a respective exit lane, and at least one second operating configuration, where at least one entry lane is selectively put in communication with an exit lane different from the exit lane with which the at least one entry lane communicates in the first operating configuration.

    Abstract: A manufacturing machine for manufacturing a cylindrical battery having a cylindrical case which houses an electrochemical cell. They are provided: a processing conveyor configured to move forward along a processing path a seat designed to support the cylindrical case; and an operating group which is arranged along the processing path and is configured to perform a processing on the cylindrical case. The operating group has: a support body axially aligned with the corresponding seat and mounted to rotate around a rotation axis; and a plurality of processing discs, which are configured to perform a machining on the side wall of the cylindrical case, are uniformly mounted on the support body to form a circle at the centre of which the cylindrical case is placed in use, and are radially movable to radially get close to and move away from the cylindrical case which is in use between them.
