Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to a printing system. In one example, the printing system comprises a print substrate supply mechanism and a conveyor belt. The print substrate supply mechanism is to supply print substrate to the conveyor belt and the conveyor belt is to advance the supplied print substrate. During a substrate loading operation of the printing system, the print substrate supply mechanism prevents motion of the substrate such that when the conveyor belt is activated the supplied substrate slides over the conveyor belt.

Abstract: In one example, a method of controlling a printing system is described, the method comprising activating a driver to advance a conveyor belt in a plurality of sub-turns. For each of the plurality of sub-turns, a first parameter associated with movement of the conveyor belt is determined, based on data obtained from the driver. For each of the plurality of sub-turns, a second parameter associated with movement of the conveyor belt is also determined, based on data obtained from an optical sensor. A per-sub-turn slippage parameter is calculated for each of the plurality of sub-turns, based on any difference between the first parameter and the second parameter. The method further comprises calculating a slippage metric based on the per-sub-turn slippage parameters for the plurality of sub-turns, and causing outputting of a conveyor belt tension adjustment indication.

Abstract: A tensioner device for use with a printing device is described which is to hold an end of a print target holder sheet in a substantially planar configuration across a platen of a printing device. The tensioner device can be fixed to a frame attachable to a platen of a printing device. The tensioner device has a first surface, and the frame has a second surface corresponding to the first surface. The first surface is formed to slide along the second surface in a first direction having an oblique angle with respect to a plane of the print target holder sheet. A fixing mechanism is also described which allows the first surface to be fixed to the second surface at different positions along the first direction. An apparatus including the tensioner device and the frame is also described. A system including a printer, a platen, tensioner devices and frames is also described.

Abstract: In one example, a printing system is described, having a conveyor belt, a first optical sensor, a second optical sensor, and a controller. The first optical sensor is located proximate to a first edge of the conveyor belt. The second optical sensor is located proximate to a second edge of the conveyor belt, wherein the second edge is on the opposite side of the conveyor belt to the first edge. The controller receives data related to optical detection of lateral movement of the conveyor belt from the first and second optical sensors, and causes a correction for the detected lateral movement of the conveyor belt in association with a print job of the printing system.
