    Abstract: Example optical amplification apparatus and example signal amplification methods are provided. One example optical amplification apparatus is connected to an optical fiber. The optical amplification apparatus includes a first pump laser and a first gain medium. The first pump laser is configured to emit first pump light. The first gain medium is configured to receive the first pump light and first multi-channel optical signals from the optical fiber; and perform gain amplification on the first multi-channel optical signals based on the first pump light, where the first pump light overlaps each of the first multi-channel optical signals in the first gain medium.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose an optical signal transmission system and an optical signal transmission method. A specific solution is as follows: a first coherent transceiver is configured to: convert N channels of downlink data into N modulating signals, convert the N modulating signals into a first wavelength division multiplexing signal, and send the first wavelength division multiplexing signal to an optical transport unit; the optical transport unit is configured to: receive the first wavelength division multiplexing signal, convert the first wavelength division multiplexing signal into N second optical signals, and correspondingly send the N second optical signals to N second coherent transceivers; and one of the N second coherent transceivers is configured to: receive the N second optical signals, and process the N second optical signals to obtain information in downlink data carried in the N second optical signals.

    Abstract: A method and an apparatus for monitoring a wavelength channel are disclosed. The method includes: performing optical-to-electrical detection on an optical signal on a wavelength channel, to obtain an electrical signal; obtaining a frequency spectrum of the electrical signal; determining a first parameter M according to an equation M=NAC, where NAC represents an alternating current component of the frequency spectrum of the electrical signal; and if M is greater than a preset first threshold, determining that the wavelength channel includes a real service signal. According to the method and apparatus, an erroneous configuration or operation of a network management system can be avoided.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a data processing method, related device, and system for an optical transport network. The data processing method for the optical transport network includes: encapsulating service data into an optical payload unit; mapping the optical payload unit to an optical channel data unit; mapping the optical channel data unit to a payload area of an optical burst transport unit; performing electrical-optical conversion on the optical burst transport unit to form an optical burst transport unit; carrying the optical burst transport unit onto an optical timeslot of an optical burst channel; and transmitting the optical burst channel to a line.
