    Abstract: A fuel reforming system may include an engine combusting reformed gas to generate mechanical power, an intake line connected to the engine to supply reformed gas and air to the engine, an exhaust line connected to the engine to circulate exhaust gas expelled from the engine, a fuel reformer provided at an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) line diverging from the exhaust line, into which a fuel is injected from the EGR line, mixing the fuel injected from the EGR line and the EGR gas, and reforming the fuel mixed in the EGR gas, and a catalyst disposed in the exhaust line and purifying nitrogen oxide included in the exhaust gas at a front end portion of the fuel reformer.

    Abstract: A thermoelectric generator system of an engine is provided and includes an insulating heat protective cover that is mounted within an engine. Additionally, a unit is disposed at an upper end of the heat protective cover to uniformly distribute heat energy to use the heat protective cover mounted at an upper end of an exhaust manifold of the engine to protect a wiring from exhaust heat. Accordingly, heat energy discarded from the exhaust manifold is absorbed to generate electricity using the waste heat discarded from the exhaust manifold without affecting the catalyst to improve the fuel efficiency of the internal combustion engine. Further, heat is transferred by conduction at a particular temperature or greater and heat is transferred by radiation and convection at a temperature less than the particular temperature to increase the efficiency.

    Abstract: A fuel reforming system may include an engine combusting reformed gas to generate mechanical power; an intake line connected to the engine to supply reformed gas and air to the engine; an exhaust line connected to the engine to circulate exhaust gas exhausted from the engine; a fuel reformer provided at an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) line diverging from the exhaust line, mixing the EGR gas passing through the EGR line with the fuel and reforming the fuel mixed in the EGR gas; and an EGR flow controller determining a target opening degree of a flow rate control valve according to engine running condition, whether or not in a reforming running condition, required amount of EGR gas along to running condition, and controlling opening degree of the flow rate control valve on a basis of the target opening degree.

    Abstract: A thermoelectric element of a vehicle exhaust system is provided, which achieves maximum generation efficiency without exceeding an endurance limit thereof. The thermoelectric element includes a thermoelectric module and a heat dissipation plate. Arrangement of the heat dissipation plate directly exposes one side to the exhaust system and the opposite side contacts the thermoelectric module. Furthermore, the thermoelectric element includes a cooling unit having interior cooling channels and disposed on the other side of the thermoelectric module.
