Abstract:
Provided are a quick disconnect tool and a male connector. The tool includes a socket, detents in the socket and a collar to open and close the detents. The male connector fits within the socket and cannot rotate within the socket. The male connector includes a recess into which the detents can lock the male connector inside the socket.
Abstract:
Compositions and methods for detection of the stress-inducible Hsp70B′ protein are disclosed. These include antibodies directed against particular amino acid regions of Hsp70B′ and various peptides corresponding, or antigenically equivalent, to the regions. The ability to generate anti-Hsp70B′ antibodies to defined epitopes permits a variety of in vitro and in vivo uses.
Abstract:
A reluctance torque coupler includes a first rotor assembly which provides a magnetic field and a second rotor assembly which rotates relative to the first rotor assembly. The second rotor assembly includes a pair of elongated, arcuate flux poles that are attached to a non-magnetic frame. The flux poles extend towards the first rotor such that they are magnetically coupled to the first rotor. Air gaps between ends define a position of minimum reluctance for the first rotor. When the conductors magnetic axis of the first rotor is aligned with the spaces, the leakage of flux across the spaces is at a minimum. If one rotor is rotated, there is a change in energy stored in the magnetic circuit. This change is resisted by a restoring torque toward the aligned position. In this manner, the torque coupler transmits torque from one rotor to another. The second rotor can be provided with a pair of relatively movable concentric members which allow for adjustment of the spaces, thereby allowing for the adjustment of the pull-out torque of the torque coupler.
Abstract:
A mechanized harvesting machine, particularly suitable for picking or harvesting vegetables such a peppers or tomatoes employs a harvesting member having a rotating shaft aligned transversely to the direction of movement of the machine above the row of plants which are to be harvested. First and second picking members are mounted in spaced relationship on the shaft on opposite sides of a row of plants having a crop to be harvested. The picking members are simultaneously rotated, and each have a plurality of arcuate picking elements on them. The picking elements extend into the space between the two picking members, and operate to strip the crop from the plants while leaving the plants in a relatively undisturbed condition after they have been picked. A flat platform or guide is located beneath the picking members on each side of the row of plants to be picked, and high-pressure air is directed over this platform to move harvested crops from beneath the picking members to a location at the rear of the harvesting member, from which the crops are removed by means of a conveyor.

Abstract:
A method, computer program product, and computer system for receiving, at a computing device, a plurality of development requirements of a software development project. A plurality of possible results for one or more development factors estimated to complete the software development project may be generated based upon, at least in part, the plurality of development requirements for the software development project. A plurality of results for the one or more development factors estimated to complete the software development project may be generated and may include processing a different set of random values from the plurality of possible results for the one or more development factors estimated to complete the software development project during each iteration of a plurality of iterations of one or more probabilistic models. The plurality of results for the one or more development factors may be provided in a user interface.
Abstract:
A harvesting device for mechanical harvesting of vegetables and the like. A pair of circular supports rotates on an axle disposed and are disposed in a housing. The circular supports are positioned on opposite sides of a picking path defined by a void in the housing and through which the vegetables pass as the harvester moves. Each circular support having at least one picking element extended into the picking path.
Abstract:
A football pad securing device includes a pad assembly with a pair of shoulder pads each having a back covering and a chest covering. Elongated slots extend through each of the chest coverings. Each of a pair of loops is attached to one of the back coverings. Each of a pair of straps has a first end, a second end, a first side and a second side. Couplers are fixedly attached to the first ends. The couplers are removably securable to the slots. Each of a pair of hook and loop assemblies is attached to one of the straps and selectively attaches the first sides of the straps to themselves. The couplers are coupled to one of the slots and each of the second ends is extended through one of the loops. The hook and loop assemblies then secured the straps to the loops.
Abstract:
A mechanized harvesting machine particularly suitable for picking or harvesting vegetables such as peppers and tomatoes uses a single rotating helical guide member carried on a shaft aligned longitudinally above the row of plants to thread its way through the plants with minimal disturbance. Arcuate picking elements are attached between the helical guide and the shaft for pushing and pulling the vegetables or other crops to be harvested from the plant, as the helical guide member is rotated through the row of plants. The guide member is operated parallel to the ground and turns in a single direction, leaving the plants in a relatively undisturbed condition after they have been picked so that the plants may be used to grow a subsequent crop. The harvesting machine includes conveyor belts located on opposite sides of the helical guide member for catching the vegetables after they have been picked to convey them to a convenient storage bin on the machine.
