Abstract: During rotation of a shaft of a downhole-type wellbore system, a first signal corresponding to an axial position of the rotating shaft is transmitted by a sensor. The shaft is axially levitated by a plurality of magnetic thrust bearings. A controller determines an amount of axial force to apply to the rotating shaft to maintain axial levitation of the rotating shaft based on the first signal. The controller transmits a second signal corresponding to the determined amount of axial force to the plurality of magnetic thrust bearings. The plurality of magnetic thrust bearings applies the amount of axial force on the rotating shaft to maintain the axial levitation of the rotating shaft based on the second signal.

Abstract: An electric machine for a work vehicle including a housing, a stator assembly positioned inside the housing, and a rotor assembly rotatably connected to the housing via a bearing. The rotor assembly is positioned to form an air gap between the stator assembly and the rotor assembly. A front air dam is positioned at a first end of the housing and adjacent to the air gap. The front air dam includes an external barrier, an internal barrier, an opening in the internal barrier, and a passageway in the internal barrier. A fan is attached to the rotor assembly and positioned within the housing. The fan generates a first air flow towards the air gap and a second air flow through the passageway.

Abstract: The invention relates to an electric motor with an air-gap sleeve. The invention makes it possible for the first time to achieve improved heat dispersal from the rotor by means of an excess pressure in the inner region of the rotor of an air-gap sleeve electric motor. The excess pressure allows the wall thickness of the air-gap sleeve to be reduced by over 50%, as a result of which the heat transfer is improved and a gas with a high thermal capacity can be used.

Abstract: The invention provides an electrically operated valve which can more accurately detect a position of a valve body. An electrically operated valve is provided with a valve shaft, a valve body, a rotor member which is movable together with the valve shaft in a parallel direction to a first direction, a stator member which applies a turning force to the rotor member, a permanent magnet member which turns together with the rotor member, an angle sensor which detects an angle of rotation of the permanent magnet, and a guide member which guides a relative movement of the rotor member or the valve shaft in relation to the permanent magnet member. A distance between the permanent magnet and the angle sensor is fixed when the permanent magnet member turns.

Abstract: Motor modules for multi-arm robot apparatus are described. The motor modules can be used individually or stacked and assembled to make up one-axis, 2-axis, 3-axis, 4-axis, 5-axis, 6-axis motor assemblies, or more.
