Abstract: The present disclosure is drawn to a reactive polyurethane dispersion including a polymer strand having a polymer backbone that has two ends terminating at a first capping unit and a second capping unit. The polymer backbone can include polymerized monomers including a reactive diol and a blend of two or more diisocyanates. The reactive diol can be an acrylate-containing diol, a methacrylate-containing diol, or combination thereof. The first capping unit can be an acrylate-containing monoalcohol or methacrylate-containing monoalcohol reacted with an isocyanate group of the diisocyanates. The second capping unit can be an ionic stabilizing group. The polymer backbone can be devoid of ionic stabilizing groups.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an inkjet composition comprising a curable polyurethane dispersion and an aqueous carrier. The curable polyurethane dispersion comprises at least one of a) a polyurethane polymer comprising a first terminal group selected from a styrene-containing group, an allyl-containing group and an acrylamide-containing group, and a polyurethane polymer comprising a second terminal group comprising an ionic group; and/or a polyurethane polymer comprising a first terminal group at one end and a second terminal group at the opposite end, wherein the first terminal group is selected from a styrene-containing group, an allyl-containing group and an acrylamide-containing group, and the second terminal group comprises an ionic group; b) a polyurethane polymer comprising a terminal group selected from at least one of stabilising groups (A) and (B); and c) a polyurethane polymer comprising a polyurethane chain formed by the polymerisation of (i) a blend of at least two different diisocyanates and (ii) a reactive diol.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an inkjet printing process that comprises applying a radiation-curable primer composition onto a substrate to form a primer layer. The primer composition comprises a curable polyurethane dispersion, a photoinitiator and water. An inkjet ink composition is inkjet printed onto the primer layer as a printed inkjet ink layer. The inkjet ink composition comprises a colorant, a curable polyurethane dispersion, a photoinitiator and water. The curable polyurethane is dispersed in the inkjet ink composition in an amount of composition is 0.1 to 30 weight % of the inkjet ink composition. The printed inkjet ink layer is cured on the substrate by exposing both the primer layer and printed inkjet ink layer on the substrate to radiation.

Abstract: The present disclosure is drawn to aqueous pigment dispersions. In one example, an aqueous pigment dispersion can include from 40 wt % to 90 wt % water, from 2 wt % to 30 wt % organic co-solvent, from 7.5 wt % to 30 wt % copper phthalocyanine pigment, from 0.5 wt % to 5 wt % styrene-acrylic dispersant, and from 0.5 wt % to 5 wt % hydrophilic polyurethane dispersant having a weight average molecular weight from 10,000 Mw to 30,000 Mw. The styrene-acrylic dispersant and the hydrophilic polyurethane dispersant can be present at a weight ratio from 1:10 to 2:1.

Abstract: The present disclosure is drawn to UV-curable inkjet inks, fluid sets, and printing systems. An example UV-curable inkjet ink can include water, a photo-initiator, from 8 wt % to 25 wt % organic co-solvent, and from 2 wt % to 20 wt % of a polyurethane. The polyurethane can include a polymer strand including a polymer backbone having two ends terminating at first and second capping units. The polymer backbone can be formed of polymerized monomers including a diisocyanate and a reactive diol selected from an acrylate-containing diol or a methacrylate-containing diol. The first capping unit can include an acrylate-containing monoalcohol, a methacrylate-containing monoalcohol, an allyl-containing monoalcohol, an allyl-containing monoamine, a styrene-containing monoalcohol, an acrylamide-containing monoalcohol, or a methacrylamide-containing monoalcohol reacted with an isocyanate group of the diisocyanate. The second capping unit can include 3-(cyclohexylamino)-1-propanesulfonic acid or 2-(cyclohexylamino)ethanesulfonic acid reacted with an isocyanate group of the diisocyanate.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an Inkjet printing process that comprises inkjet printing an inkjet ink composition onto a substrate to form a printed inkjet ink layer. The inkjet ink composition comprises a colorant, a curable polyurethane dispersion, a photoinitiator and water, wherein the amount of curable polyurethane dispersed in the inkjet ink composition is 0.1 to 30 weight %. A radiation-curable overcoat composition is applied over the printed inkjet ink layer as an overcoat layer. The overcoat composition comprises a curable polyurethane dispersion, a photoinitiator and water. The printed inkjet ink layer is then cured on the substrate by exposing both the overcoat layer and inkjet ink layer on the substrate to radiation.

Abstract: A textile printing system include an ink composition and a fabric substrate. The ink composition includes from 50 wt % to 95 wt % water, from 4 wt % to 49 wt % organic co-solvent, from 0.5 wt % to 12 wt % pigment with a dispersant associated with a surface thereof, and from 0.5 wt % to 20 wt % of a polyurethane particles. The polyurethane particles include a polyurethane strand with a polyurethane backbone with a pendant reactive (meth)acrylate-containing diol group and terminal end cap groups. The terminal end cap groups independently are selected from a monoalcohol, a monoamine, an acrylate, a methacrylate, or a combination thereof.
