Abstract: A first storage node is connected to a host by using a first network interface card of the first storage node, and is connected to a second storage node by using a second network interface card. The first storage node receives a data processing request from the host, wherein the data processing request carries a target storage address of to-be-processed data, determines the second storage node based on the target storage address of the to-be-processed data, and sends the data processing request to the second storage node by using the second network interface card, wherein the data processing request instructs the second storage node to process the to-be-processed data.

Abstract: A method for managing a storage medium in a storage device is provided. The method includes detecting whether there is a problematic storage block in a data storage area of the storage medium, wherein the problematic storage block is a storage block whose health degree is less than a preset value, wherein the health degree is used to measure performance of a storage block in the storage medium and is in direct proportion to the performance of the storage block; and replacing the problematic storage block with a replacement storage block in a replacement area of the storage medium when the problematic storage block is detected, wherein a health degree of a storage block in the data storage area is greater than a health degree of a storage block in the replacement area.

The controller creates multiple segments in advance, selects a first die from the multiple dies, selects a first segment from the multiple segments, determines an available offset of the first segment, generates a write request, where the write request includes a write address, target data, and a data length of the target data, and the write address includes an identifier of a channel coupled to the first die, an identifier of the first die, an identifier of the first segment, and the available offset, and sends the write request to the solid state disk. The solid state disk receives the write request, and stores the target data according to the write address and the data length.

Abstract: In a storage medium management method, a controller receives an address space request that requests the provision of an address space in a target storage medium for an operating system, the target storage medium having two different types of storage media. The Controller determines a first address space in the target storage medium based on the address space request, and a physical address of the first address space to a target virtual address, which is managed by the operating system. The controller then provides to an operating system a first address space requested by the address space request, such that the first address space is directly managed by an operating system, without manual configuration or restart of an electronic device.
