    Abstract: Methods and devices are disclosed for transmitting data, including segmenting a group of information bits into a set of information blocks that each include a respective plurality of the information bits; encoding, using low density parity check (LDPC) encoding, each of the information blocks to generate corresponding codewords; transmitting the codewords to a destination station; receiving a feedback message indicating that at least one of the codewords has not been successfully decoded by the destination station; interleaving the information bits of the information block that corresponds to the at least one of the codewords; encoding, using low density parity check (LDPC) encoding, the interleaved information bits to generate an interleaved codeword; and transmitting the interleaved codeword to the destination station.

    Abstract: A method includes sending, by an access point (AP) to one or more stations (STAs), a request for channel state information (CSI). The request includes a null data packet announcement (NDPA) frame including a common information field. The common information field including an indicator of whether trigger based (TB) sounding or non-trigger based (non-TB) is being used. Then, the method includes receiving, by the AP from the one or more STAs, a CSI feedback response based on the request. The common information field may be a null data packet announcement (NDPA) variant field in an alternative name and the indicator may utilize 1 bit.

    Abstract: A method, apparatus and system for transmitting control information in a header of a physical protocol data unit (PPDU), such as an IEEE 802.11 compliant PPDU. Embodiments include indicating control features in an EDMG PPDU for Wireless LAN communications. The method and system may include overloading at least one bit of a Scrambler Initialization Field in the PPDU header (e.g. the PHY header) to convey control information, as well as to be used to initialize the scrambler shift register. The same header bits are thus used for both purposes. Examples of control information include a primary channel, channel width or MIMO configuration to be used in further communication.

    Abstract: Methods, systems and apparatus related to spatial modulation for WLAN (IEEE 802.11) are provided. A plurality of spatial antenna streams of modulation symbols are generated based on a dynamic mapping of a plurality of spatial streams to the plurality of spatial antenna streams. The dynamic mapping may be based on a stream of non-channel-encoded information bits, in accordance with a spatial modulation. The method may further include causing driving of a plurality of antennas based on the plurality of spatial antenna streams to transmit an IEEE 802.11 frame. The plurality of antennas may be greater in number than or equal in number to the plurality of spatial antenna streams. An IEEE 802.11 frame can include an indication that the frame was transmitted using spatial modulation. The indication may be in a subfield within a SIG field of a PHY header of the IEEE 802.11 frame.
