A method for a server to access a shingled magnetic recording (SMR) disk includes: receiving, by the server, a data operation request, where the data operation request includes address information of target data; determining, according to the address information, a target storage zone in the SMR disk and that corresponds to the target data; determining that there is write pointer information of the target storage zone in a cache, and obtaining the write pointer information from the cache, where the write pointer information is address information of latest stored data in the target storage zone; generating a data operation instruction according to the write pointer information and the address information of the target data, where the data operation instruction is used to perform an operation on the target data; and sending the data operation instruction to the SMR disk.

A method and an apparatus for implementing storage of a file in an Internet Protocol (IP) disk, where the method includes receiving an operation request for a target file, converting operation information of the operation request into a key value of the target file, acquiring, according to the key value, an identifier of a target IP disk corresponding to the operation request, and sending, to the target IP disk identified by the identifier, the operation request carrying the key value such that the application stability can be improved.

A method for accessing a shingled magnetic recording (SMR) disk is provided. A data processing method, which includes: writing, by an application module, data to be written in a data buffer, and sending a write request command and an address of the data buffer to a Virtual Host Bus Adapter (VHBA); sending, by the VHBA, the write request command and the address of the data buffer to a storage array module; and acquiring, by the storage array module, the data to be written from the data buffer, and then writing, into the storage medium, the data to be written according to the address of the data to be written into the storage medium. In the embodiments, it is only required to transfer the address of the data buffer and the data to be written when writing the data, so memory copy is reduced and system performance is improved.
