Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a computed tomography apparatus, comprising: a first semiconductor device with a first radar transceiver IC, a second semiconductor device with a second radar transceiver IC, and at least one third semiconductor device with a third radar transceiver IC, which are arranged at different positions around a tomographical measurement region; a synchronization circuit, which is designed to provide a synchronization signal in order to operate the first, second and third radar transceiver IC as synchronized transmitters and receivers using the synchronization signal; and an evaluation circuit, which is designed to ascertain at least one characteristic of a medium located in the measurement region based on time-of-flight measurements of radar signals received from at least two receivers.

Abstract: A radar system is described. In accordance with one example implementation, the radar system comprises a passive coupler arrangement and also a first radar chip, a second radar chip and a third radar chip. The radar chips each comprise at least one external RF contact and also a local oscillator designed to generate an RF oscillator signal at least in a switched-on state. The external RF contacts of the radar chips are coupled via the coupler arrangement in such a way that, in a first operating mode, the RF oscillator signal can be transferred from the first radar chip via the coupler arrangement to the second radar chip and the third radar chip, and that, in a second operating mode, the RF oscillator signal can be transferred from the second radar chip via the coupler arrangement to the third radar chip.

Abstract: A radar system includes a first integrated radar circuit having a plurality of first transmission paths and a local oscillator configured to generate a local oscillator signal. The first integrated radar circuit has a first terminal configured to output an oscillation signal based on the local oscillator signal. The radar system includes a second integrated radar circuit having a second transmission path and a second terminal. The radar system includes a partially reflective element coupled to the first terminal via a first line section and to the second terminal via a second line section. The partially reflective element is configured to reflect back a first portion of the oscillation signal as a reflected signal via the first line section to the first terminal and to pass on a second portion of the oscillation signal as a forward signal via the second line section to the second terminal.
