The system includes a Real-Time Location System, a database including position coordinates of the respective zones and a processing controller. The processing controller is configured to determine distribution of time by associating each obtained data entity with a respective zone based on the position coordinates of the respective information entity and the position coordinates of the zones; counting the number of data entities in each respective zone; and calculating an amount of time the animal has spent in the zone by multiplying the number of data entities of each respective zone with the regular time interval.

摘要: A method includes: receiving a ranging signal from the transmitter including a set of multiplexed sub-signals, each multiplexed sub-signal characterized by a frequency in a set of frequencies; calculating a sample-based time-of-arrival estimate based on the series of time-domain samples of the ranging signal; calculating a sample-based uncertainty of the sample-based time-of-arrival; for each sub-signal pair in a subset of multiplexed sub-signals of the set of multiplexed sub-signals, extracting a phase difference of the sub-signal pair; calculating a phase-based time-of-arrival estimate based on the phase difference of each sub-signal pair in the subset of multiplexed sub-signals; calculating a phase-based uncertainty of the phase-based time-of-arrival estimate; and calculating a hybrid time-of-arrival estimate as a weighted combination of the sample-based time-of-arrival estimate, the phase-based time-of-arrival estimate, based on the sample-based uncertainty and the phase-based uncertainty.

摘要: In a general aspect, a system for sensing pulses of radio frequency (RF) fields includes a laser system and a vapor cell sensor. The laser system is configured to generate beams of light that include a probe beam of light. The vapor cell sensor has a vapor therein and is configured to allow the beams of light to pass through the vapor. The system also includes an optical detector configured to generate a detector signal based on the probe beam of light. The system includes a signal processing system configured to perform operations that include receiving the detector signal from the optical detector over a time period. The operations also include generating a digital signal based on the detector signal and applying a matched filter to the digital signal to generate a filtered signal. The filtered signal is processed to determine properties of an RF field experienced by the vapor.

The second antenna group includes a plurality of second antenna elements and the one shared antenna element, and the phase centers of the antenna elements are laid out in two columns at each second layout spacing following a second axis direction that is different from the first axis direction. The phase centers of the antenna elements included in each of the two columns differ from each other regarding position in the second axis direction.

摘要: In an embodiment, a method includes: transmitting a plurality of radar signals using a millimeter-wave radar sensor towards a target; receiving a plurality of reflected radar signals that correspond to the plurality of transmitted radar signals using the millimeter-wave radar; mixing a replica of the plurality of transmitted radar signals with the plurality of received reflected radar signals to generate an intermediate frequency signal; generating raw digital data based on the intermediate frequency signal using an analog-to-digital converter; processing the raw digital data using a constrained L dimensional convolutional layer of a neural network to generate intermediate digital data, where L is a positive integer greater than or equal to 2, and where the neural network includes a plurality of additional layers; and processing the intermediate digital data using the plurality of additional layers to generate information about the target.

At least one of the radar transmitter and the radar receiver are switchable to provide the digital signal processor with signals from each of multiple combinations of transmit antenna and receive antenna.

摘要: An electronically steerable phased array and switching network connected to an FMCW radar transceiver to enable a low-cost monopulse tracking system that covers a wide field of regard using electronic beam steering. In a first mode, beamformer integrated circuits (BFICs) at each element in the array are switched synchronously with transmit/receive (T/R) switches located at the subarray level. This allows the entire aperture to be switched between transmission and reception, enabling the FMCW radar transceiver to be operated in a pulsed configuration. In a second mode, a portion of the T/R switches at the subarray level and all of the connecting BFICs at the element level are fixed in either transmitting or receiving mode, allowing separate portions of the aperture to concurrently transmit or receive. The arrangement of transmitting and receiving subarrays can be dynamically reconfigured to allow for accurate bearing and azimuth estimation using alternating monopulse.

摘要: A pulsed radar level gauge comprising a pulse generator configured to generate a transmit signal (ST) in the form of a pulse train, a propagation device connected to direct the transmit signal (ST) into a tank and return a microwave return signal (SR), a receiver, sampling circuitry configured to provide a time expanded tank signal, and processing circuitry for determining said filling level based on the time expanded tank signal. The gauge further comprises impedance increasing circuitry arranged to ensure that an input impedance of the receiver is at least 2 kΩ and a delay line arranged between said receiver and said propagation device, the delay line configured to introduce a delay greater than said pulse duration, such that said time expanded signal includes a transmitted pulse.
