摘要: A fiber optic cable clamp is provided. The fiber optic cable clamp includes a sheath grip member and a strength member clamp maintained at a constant axial location with respect to the sheath grip member. The fiber optic cable clamp also includes a cable fiber separator connected to the sheath grip member, the cable fiber separator including a plurality of cable fiber openings and attached to the strength member clamp. The fiber optic cable clamp, when mounted to a fiber optic cable, maintains the relative axial locations of a cable sheath and cable strength member along a fiber optic cable.

摘要: A microcantilever sensing system includes a waveguide cantilever that permits an optical signal to propagate through an endface of the cantilever. The propagated signal is received by a receiver waveguide across a gap from the cantilever. The receiver waveguide provides the optical signal to a differential beamsplitter. The signal is differentially split according to the position of the optical signal incident upon the receiving waveguide. A method of determining a deflection waveguide microcantilever is also disclosed. An optical signal is transmitted from the endface of a waveguide microcantilever and received by the receiver waveguide. The optical signal is differentially split and then each split signal is compared to determine beam deflection. A method of fabricating a microcantilever sensor provides a differential beamsplitter in optical communication with a waveguide cantilever.

摘要: The present invention relates to an ophthalmic solution for the clarification of vitreous hemorrhages. More specifically, it relates to a pharmaceutically acceptable intraocular injectable solution, for the treatment of vitreous hemorrhages, whereby the reabsorption of such hemorrhage is encouraged. It enables the clarification of the vitreous hemorrhage in a significantly short period of time to allow for the timely diagnosis of the lesion and the repair of the damage the hemorrhage has caused to the vitreous body. The ophthalmic solution of the present invention is injected at least once into the vitreous humor of the patient in a therapeutically effective dose to obtain the desired result.

摘要: The invention relates to a medical device including a trocar with a hollow tip for the passage of a camera, a light source and a miniature camera at the tip thereof, which transmits images to an LCD screen. The invention also includes two or more working channels on the sides thereof, for the introduction of surgical equipment for the removal of the appendix or other similarly sized structures. The camera is connected to a cable which is, in turn, connected to an LCD screen, such that the surgeon has the impression of looking at the patient's abdominal cavity through a window.
