摘要： A bladeset for a hair clipper includes blade teeth configured to guide hair strands toward a cutting zone and to retain hair strands in the cutting zone. By more effectively guiding and retaining the hair strands into the cutting zone, more complete hair cutting may be achieved. Another feature of the present self-cutting hair trimmer is a housing configured to provide a cutting line associated with a generally elongate handle, which in turn provides a bladeset angle of attack substantially perpendicular to hair to be cut on all parts of a self-user's head or a subject's head when the present trimmer is held by a user in either hand.

摘要： A hair styling iron includes a body with a handle end configured for being gripped by a user, and a styling end opposite the handle end. The styling end includes a first leg and a second leg, each leg having at least one heated surface. The handle end is configured for moving the second leg relative to the first leg and includes a grip portion and a pivoting portion connected to the second leg for providing pivoting movement relative to the first leg. The pivoting portion of the handle end and the second leg are connected to the body to operate in scissors fashion relative to the first leg. A curling clamp is pivotally connected to the body for exerting a clamping force against one of the first and second legs. A latch is associated with the handle end for releasably securing the pivoting portion to the grip portion.

摘要： An apparatus for comminuting biological specimens includes a receiving component provided with a drive source, a sample retainer configured for retaining at least one biological specimen and for engagement in the receiving component, and a single use comminution mechanism in operational relationship with the sample retainer. The drive source is configured for driving the comminution mechanism. A collector is associated with the receiving component for receiving comminuted product generated by the comminution mechanism. A method for comminuting biological specimens is provided so that, upon comminution, the specimen is readily subject to rapid extraction and detection of drugs and their metabolites, compounds, chemicals, pesticides, steroids, growth enhancers, contaminants or other pharmacologic agents which may reside in the specimen.

摘要： A vibrator motor in a hair clipper has a stationary piece and a moving piece. The stationary piece has a primary leg and at least one secondary leg. The primary leg fits through an opening in a coil. A flange is then press fit onto the leg so that the coil is captured on the primary leg. The flange provides a magnetic pole face that is larger than the opening in the coil, which increases the efficiency of the motor. The flange is press fit in a single operation by pressing a primary prong into a primary socket, and pressing two secondary prongs into secondary sockets. The secondary prongs are guided inwardly as they enter the secondary sockets, which closes the primary socket around the primary prong. A drive arm is secured to an arm of the moving piece. The arm is angled in relation to the drive arm to put even pressure on the moving blade in the hair clipper.
