摘要： A method for performing communication between a base station and a mobile station through a designated channel is disclosed. The method comprises transmitting an access parameter message including fields indicating preamble duration and slot duration having a length of a multiple of given slot duration from the base station to the mobile station, the base station previously knowing each start time point of the slots having the multiple slot duration; transmitting a control message including fields indicating a designated channel number and a data rate from the base station to the mobile station over a common channel; receiving, in the mobile station, the control message and transmitting to the base station an access probe including a preamble having the preamble duration and a succeeding response message beginning at one of the start time points of the slots having the multiple slot duration at the data rate through a designated channel associated with the designated channel number in the control message; and determining in the base station whether the preamble of the access probe is received, beginning at each start time point of the slots having the multiple slot duration.

摘要： There are provided a common channel message communicating device and method in a CDMA communication system. In a base station of the common channel message communicating device, a control message generator generates a control message including information representative of a spreading code for spreading a reverse common channel message, and a forward common channel transmitter transmits the control message on a forward common channel. In a mobile station, a control message analyser analyses information representative of an assigned spreading code included in the control message received on the forward common channel, a spreading code generator generates a spreading code based on the spreading code information, and a channel transmitter spreads the reverse common channel message by the spreading code and transmits the spread reverse common channel message.

摘要： A synchronization (sync) code communication device for a CDMA communication system. A base station sync code transmission device comprises a primary sync code transmitter and a secondary sync code transmitter. The primary sync code transmitter is for generating and then transmitting a primary sync code at a first location in a transmission frame. The primary sync code is for acquiring synchronization at a starting point of a frame and the frame is equal to one period of a spreading code. The secondary sync code transmitter is for generating and then transmitting a secondary sync code at a second location in a frame. The secondary sync codes are assigned to base station groups, one to a group. A mobile station sync code receiving device comprises a primary sync code acquisition decider and a base station group decider. The primary sync code acquisition decider is for acquiring a primary sync code received at a first location in a frame, and then acquiring synchronization at a starting point of a frame. The base station group decider is enabled upon acquisition of the primary sync code, receives a secondary sync code transmitted at a second location in the frame, and then determines the base station group to which the transmitting base station belongs.

The apparatus includes a controller for generating a switch controlling signal in a non-overlapped time cycle for selecting one of the plurality of transmission antennas to output a transmission signal in a fixed, non-overlapped time interval. The invention further provides for a receiving device for detecting a pilot channel signal from an input forward link signal and generating estimated phase and time values for detecting a traffic channel signal at the selected estimated time position and correcting a phase error of the detected traffic channel signal based on the estimated phase value, for signal decoding.

摘要： A method for transmitting control data on a downlink and/or uplink channel in a base station and/or mobile station in a mobile communication system. In one embodiment, the base station determines whether there is downlink channel data to transmit to a mobile station. If there is no data to be transmitted over the downlink channel for a predetermined time period, the base station drives a random gating position selector to determine a random gating slot position, gates on the control data at the determined slot position, and gates off the control data at other slot positions. The random position selector determines the gating slot position by calculating a value x by multiplying a system frame number (SFN) of a received signal by a specific integer; selecting n bits starting from a position which is at an x-chip distance from the start point of a scrambling code, which has a period equal to one frame, before a plurality of gating durations used in generating a downlink signal; and determining a gating slot position of a corresponding gating slot group by performing a modulo operation on the selected n bits, where the module operation is by the number of slots in a gating slot group.

摘要： A common packet channel assignment method and device in a CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) communication system is disclosed. The method comprises transmitting an access preamble signal having channel information which is used to access a base station, and then receiving an; access preamble acquisition indicator signal from the base station in response to the access preamble signal. A collision detection preamble for detecting a collision is transmitted in response to the received access preamble acquisition indicator signal. A first signal indicating acquisition of the collision detection preamble and a second signal indicating channel assignment are received, both of which the base station has transmitted in response to the collision acquisition signal. Upon receipt of the first signal, a common packet channel is assigned according to information designated by the second signal.

摘要： A power control device for a CDMA communication system using different kinds of spreading codes. In the power control device for a base station device, a first channel generator generates a first channel signal by spreading first input data with an orthogonal code and a second channel generator generates a second channel signal by spreading second input data with a quasi-orthogonal code. The second channel signal has a gain higher than that of the first channel signal. A first gain controller controls power of the first channel signal and a second gain controller controls power of the second channel signal. An adder adds the first channel signal to the second channel signal, and a spreader spreads a signal output from the adder with a pseudo-random noise (PN) code. The base station transmits a response request message to a mobile station via the second channel, and retransmits the response request message after increasing a transmission power of the second channel when a response message is not received from the mobile station.
