Abstract:
A therapy device for instillation of fluid to a tissue site is described. The therapy device includes a base having a cartridge receptacle and a support coupled to the base to secure the base to a pole. The therapy device also includes a cartridge configured to engage the base when positioned in the cartridge receptacle. The therapy device also includes a pump head disposed within the cartridge receptacle and configured to engage the cartridge for movement of fluid. The cartridge includes a body forming at least a portion of a fluid reservoir and a tube segment coupled to the body and in fluid communication with the fluid reservoir. The tube segment is configured to engage the pump head.
Abstract:
Systems, apparatuses, and methods for providing a negative-pressure therapy system are described. The system includes a first dressing, a second dressing, and a negative-pressure source. The negative-pressure source includes a first pump and a second pump. A first valve is fluidly coupled to the first dressing and the first pump to selectively permit fluid communication to the first dressing. A second valve is fluidly coupled to the second dressing and the second pump to selectively permit fluid communication to the second dressing. A cross-over valve is fluidly coupled to the first pump, the first valve, the second pump, and the second valve. The cross-over valve permits fluid communication between the first pump and the second valve and/or the second pump and the first valve. A controller is communicatively coupled to the first pump, the second pump, the first valve, the second valve, and the cross-over valve for operating the same.
Abstract:
In one example embodiment, an apparatus for treating a tissue site may include a contact layer formed from a compressible material. The contact layer may include a plurality of apertures extending at least partially through the contact layer. The contact layer may be configurable such that at least a portion of the apertures include a first plurality of orifices having a diameter in a first diameter range and such that at least a portion of the apertures include a second plurality of orifices having a diameter in a second diameter range. The first diameter range may be from about 2 mm to about 6 mm. The second diameter range may be from about 8 mm to about 15 mm. The apparatus may include a cover configured to form a sealed space including the contact layer and the tissue site.
