Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a bifunctional catalyst for manufacturing a hydrocarbon from carbon dioxide and hydrogen. The bifunctional catalyst includes a carbon composite including cobalt (Co) and nitrogen (N) atoms forming a coordinate bond with the cobalt, and metal particles which exhibit a catalytic activity for a Fischer-Tropsch synthesis reaction and which are dispersed on the inner pore surface and/or the outer surface of the carbon composite support, thus simultaneously promoting a reverse water gas shift reaction and the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis reaction.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for non-oxidative direct conversion of methane. Specifically, in the method, a methane/hydrogen gas is introduced into an Inconel 600 reactor at a superficial velocity of 100 to 200 cm·min−1 and a catalyst is not externally introduced into the reactor. Under the conditions, a non-oxidative direct methane conversion reaction is performed in the Inconel 600 reactor. The method maximizes the reaction rate, minimizes coke formation, and increases the yields of C2 hydrocarbon compounds and aromatic compounds.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a catalyst for oxygen-free direct conversion of methane and a method of converting methane using the same, and more particularly to a catalyst for oxygen-free direct conversion of methane, in which the properties of the catalyst are optimized by adjusting the free space between catalyst particles packed in a reactor, thereby maximizing the catalytic reaction rate without precise control of reaction conditions for oxygen-free direct conversion of methane, minimizing coke formation and exhibiting stable catalytic performance even upon long-term operation, and to a method of converting methane using the same.
