摘要： There is provided an ink composition which can yield records possessing excellent rubbing/abrasion resistance and scratch resistance. Specifically, records possessing excellent rubbing/abrasion resistance and scratch resistance can be produced by using an ink composition comprising: an alkali-soluble copolymer; water; a colorant; and at least one member selected from the group consisting of wax, a viscosity modifier, and a wetting agent. The alkali-soluble copolymer is a copolymer, with an acid value of not more than 40, which is produced by polymerizing an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer and other monomer copolymerizable with the ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid monomer in the presence of an alcoholic hydroxyl-containing water-soluble polymer compound or a copolymerizable surfactant and has been adjusted to a pH value, at which the copolymer is soluble in water, by the addition of an inorganic base.

摘要： An ink set, exhibiting good ink permeability and fixation, capable of yielding high quality images with no roughness, or an ink set capable of yielding text and/or images of outstanding light resistance, is provided. The ink set of the present invention comprises a dark ink composition and a light ink composition that, while being mutually the same color, are of different color density, and is characterized in that the dark ink composition and the light ink composition each comprise a pigment as a colorant and a resin as a dispersant, in that the ratio between the resin weight proportion B1 and the pigment weight proportion P1 in the dark ink composition (i.e. B1/P1) is lower than the ratio between the resin weight proportion B2 and the pigment weight proportion P2 in the light ink composition (i.e. B2/P2), and in that B1 and B2 differ from each other.

摘要： A problem of the present invention is to provide an ink set and an ink jet recording method, according to which a high-quality printed article can be provided for which deformation such as wrinkling does not occur, the color density is high, and there is little blotting or unevenness even if regular paper is used as the recording medium. An ink set of the present invention comprises at least inks of three colors, that is a yellow ink having a hue angle ∠H° as defined in CIELAB color space on a recording medium in a range of approximately 80° to approximately 110°, a magenta ink having the above-mentioned hue angle ∠H° in a range of approximately 330° to approximately 360°, and a cyan ink having the above-mentioned hue angle ∠H° in a range of approximately 230° to approximately 260°; an ink (A) having the above-mentioned hue angle ∠H° in a range of approximately 0° to approximately 80° and/or an ink (B) having the above-mentioned hue angle ∠H° in a range of approximately 260° to approximately 330°; and a reaction liquid containing a reactant. 摘要： It is an object of the present invention to provide an ink jet recording method and ink set with which recorded material with excellent gloss and greatly reduced gloss unevenness can be easily obtained without higher costs being entailed, the ink jet recording apparatus having to be modified or made larger, etc., and to provide an ink jet recording method with which a high-quality image can be obtained with a low gloss ratio (maximum value/minimum value) dependent on duty, as well as recorded material produced by this method. The present invention provides an ink jet recording method, in which a pigment ink composition and a clear ink composition containing a resin component are discharged to record information on a recording medium, wherein the discharge amount of the pigment ink composition and/or the discharge amount of the clear ink composition is adjusted so that the gloss will be substantially uniform over the entire recording surface of the recording medium after recording.

An ink set comprising this cyan ink composition in combination with a yellow ink comprising C.I. Pigment Yellow 109 and C.I. Pigment Yellow 110 and a magenta ink comprising C.I. Pigment Red 122 or C.I. Pigment Red 209 can realize a good image.

Further, the use of a recording head equipped with a nozzle plate (101), which has been treated to form a fluoropolymer-containing plating layer (104) thereon for rendering the nozzle plate (101) water-repellent, can realize printing free from the ejection of ink droplets with trajectories non-perpendicular to the print head.

A set comprising the magenta ink composition, a yellow ink composition comprising a 1:3 to 3:1 by weight mixture of C.I. Direct Yellow 86 and C.I. Direct Yellow 132 in an amount of 0.3 to 3.0% by weight and a cyan ink composition comprising at least one of C.I. Direct Blue 86 and C.I. Direct Blue 199 in an amount of 1.0 to 4.0% by weight is also disclosed. An ink jet recording method using the foregoing ink set is further disclosed. The ink composition provides an excellent color reproducibility range and causes no deterioration of printed matter.

These ink compositions can realize ideal color tones without limitation of properties of paper. Moreover, these ink compositions are excellent in intermittent jetting stability. The color ink jet printing method is also disclosed. In this method, ink compositions are overprinted to mix colors. Colors obtained by the color mixing have an ideal color tone.
