    Abstract: Discussed is a display device in which an optical sensor can be easily provided on a display panel without causing a decrease in area or a change in shape of an active area by forming a low-resolution area in a partial area of the active area of the display panel and by providing the optical sensor on a back surface of the display panel overlapping the low-resolution area. By providing a light source emitting light for gesture sensing or the like on a flexible printed circuit which is bonded to a non-active area, it is possible to curb an influence of light emitted from the light source on an image, to prevent an increase in area of the non-active area, and to realize a gesture sensing function of the display device.

    Abstract: A display device includes a display panel including a display area on which an image is displayed, a substrate, and an electrode located over the substrate and disposed in the display area; and a camera photographing a front of the display panel without being exposed to the front surface of the display panel, being disposed under the display area of the display panel, and overlapping with a first area in the display area, wherein the electrode overlaps with the first area, and wherein the electrode comprises a semi-transmissive layer positioned over the substrate, an optical path compensation layer positioned on the semi-transmissive layer, and a metal layer positioned on the optical path compensation layer.

    Abstract: A display device includes a display panel including gate lines and data lines, the gate lines and the data lines intersecting, and pixels defined at the intersections of the gate lines and data lines, a gate driver to sequentially output a gate driving signal to the gate lines, a data driver to sequentially output a data signal to channels, a switching controller to electrically connect one of the channels with two or more of the data lines, the switching controller including a switch for each of the channels, wherein the two or more data lines are adjacent, one is directly connected to the channel and the other is connected to the channel through the switch, and a timing controller to provide a selection signal to the switch which controls the connection between the other of the two or more data lines and the channel.
