    Abstract: The present embodiments generally relate to a display panel and a display device which may recognize touch. A display panel is provided in which a touch sensor and a touch line are disposed in an active area in which a part of an outer edge of the touch line is curved to correspond to a curved shape of the active area in the display panel so that the touch sensing is allowed in display panels having various shapes. Further, a touch display device is provided in which an open area is located between two adjacent touch lines disposed on the display panel so that touch sensing is allowed also in the display panel including an open area such as a hole or a notch.

    Abstract: According to the various embodiments of the present disclosure, provided are a display device and a method of the same including a substrate including a display area and a pad area applying a signal to the display area, and an encapsulation layer disposed in the display area and including a first inorganic film, a second inorganic film disposed on the first inorganic film, and a first organic film disposed between the first inorganic film and the second inorganic film. The display device further includes a touch buffer layer disposed on the encapsulation layer, and a touch sensing unit disposed on the touch buffer layer, and including a touch sensor in which at least one inorganic film of the first inorganic film and the second inorganic film is disposed on a part of the pad area and a touch buffer layer is disposed on the at least one inorganic film.

    Abstract: An embodiment disclosed herein provides a sensing unit that senses a touch corresponding to a capacitance formed by a first electrode and a second electrode. The first electrode includes a first driving electrode pattern and a first sensing electrode pattern, the first sensing electrode pattern being disposed in the first driving electrode pattern, the second electrode includes a second driving electrode pattern and a second sensing electrode pattern, the second driving electrode pattern being disposed in the second sensing electrode pattern. A first capacitive coupling is formed corresponding to the first touch electrode and the first sensing electrode, a second capacitive coupling is formed corresponding to the second driving electrode and the second sensing electrode, and a third capacitive coupling is formed corresponding to the first touch electrode and the second sensing electrode.

    Abstract: A display device includes a light-emitting device; an encapsulation layer disposed on the light-emitting device; an insulating layer on the encapsulation layer; a plurality of first touch sensors on an upper surface of the insulating layer, and arranged in a first direction; a plurality of second touch sensors on the upper surface of the insulating layer, and arranged in a second direction intersecting the first direction; and a discharge pattern disposed between the encapsulation layer and the insulating layer, and overlapping an area between a first touch sensor of the plurality of first touch sensors and a second touch sensor of the plurality of second touch sensors wherein the first touch sensor and the second touch sensor are a mesh type, and include a protruding outer portion. In addition, one end of the discharge pattern is connected to the protruding outer portion of the second touch sensor through a contact hole of the insulating layer.
