    Abstract: A blower of the present disclosure includes: a lower case having a suction port; an upper case which has a pair of towers that are spaced apart from each other and form a space through which a discharge air flows therebetween; and a blower fan which is disposed inside the lower case and discharges air to the upper case, wherein each of the pair of towers has a discharge port that is elongated in an up-down direction and disposed closer to a rear end of the tower than a front end, and has an air guide, which is disposed therein, that guides the air discharged by the blower fan to the discharge port, wherein the air guide is convex upward, has one end disposed near a middle between the front end and the rear end of the tower, and has the other end disposed near a middle of a vertical height of the discharge port, wherein the other end is disposed higher than the one end, so that the direction of air flow discharged from the fan can be smoothly switched to the discharge port side by only a single air guide, thereby minimizing the flow resistance inside the blower and greatly improving the economic efficiency and manufacturability of the blower.

    Abstract: A cross-flow fan, and blades of a cross-flow fan are provided. The cross-flow fan includes a rotary shaft; a plurality of blades that extends in a direction parallel to the rotary shaft and having a positive pressure surface and a negative pressure surface; and a connector that connects the rotary shaft and the plurality of blades. At least one protrusion that protrudes in a thickness direction and extends in a longitudinal direction of the plurality of blades is formed on the plurality of blades, and by means of the at least one protrusion formed on a blade surface, a flow separation phenomenon caused by friction with the blade surface is suppressed, thereby reducing noise generated by the cross-flow fan.

    Abstract: An air conditioner includes a housing that defines an air inlet and an air outlet, a heat exchanger, a blowing fan inside the housing, a lower guide configured to guide, toward the air outlet, air discharged to a rear side of the blowing fan and a lower side of the blowing fan, and an upper guide that is disposed vertically above the lower guide and that defines a discharge flow path with the lower guide. The discharge flow path extends from the blowing fan to the air outlet, and a cross sectional area of the discharge flow path increases toward the air outlet. The upper guide defines a curved surface that is disposed at a downstream end of the upper guide adjacent to the air outlet and that is convex toward the air outlet.
