    Abstract: An electronic device includes a touch screen configured to display screen information and receive a touch input; a touch sensing module including a first sensing layer having a plurality of first electrode lines and a second sensing layer having a plurality of second electrode lines extending in a direction intersecting the first electrode lines; a plurality of first and second switches configured to selectively connect the plurality of first and second electrode lines to a circuit board; and a controller configured to in response to the received touch input having a touch pressure below a predetermined pressure, control the first switches to connect respective first electrode lines corresponding to a touch area of the touch input, and execute a first function corresponding the received touch input, in response to the received touch input having the touch pressure equal to or above the predetermined pressure, control the second switches to connect respective first and second electrode lines corresponding to the touch area of the touch input to change a first sensing resolution of the touch area to a second sensing resolution higher than the first sensing resolution, and obtain fingerprint information of a finger making contact with the touch area, and execute a second function more secure than the first function based on the obtained fingerprint information matching prestored fingerprint information.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides an electronic device comprising: a touch screen including a display region for outputting an image; a window arranged on the touch screen; and a control unit, wherein the touch screen includes a touch sensing layer which receives a touch input applied on the display region and receives a touch input with a first sensing resolution, and a fingerprint sensing unit, which overlaps a specific portion of the display region, is arranged between the window and the touch sensing layer, and senses a fingerprint with a second sensing resolution higher than the first sensing resolution when a finger touches the specific portion, and in order to receive a touch input on the basis of the touching of the finger with the specific portion, the control unit controls the fingerprint sensing unit on the basis of a specific control command such that the second sensing resolution of the specific portion is changed to the first sensing resolution.

    Abstract: A mobile terminal including a window; a touch screen sensing a touch input applied to the window and outputting visual information; and an internal frame supporting a lower portion of the touch screen. Further, the touch screen includes a display module outputting the visual information; at least one heat dissipation layer disposed below the display module to dissipate heat; and a pressure sensing part including a ground layer and a pressure sensing layer spaced apart from each other with the at least one heat dissipation layer interposed therebetween and to sense a pressure of the touch input based on a change in capacitance according to a deformation of the at least one heat dissipation layer while the touch input is being applied. In addition, the ground layer is adjacent to the display module or the internal frame.

    Abstract: A wireless sound device capable of effectively receiving a command that meets a user's intention without an error despite a user input unit having a limited size, and a method for controlling the same. The wireless sound device includes a wireless communication unit for wireless communication with an external device, a touch sensor for sensing a touch input of a user in a touch standby mode, a force sensor for sensing a force based on the touch input, a sound output unit for outputting an audio signal received from the external device, and a controller that controls a touch mode of the wireless sound device to be switched to a touch accepting mode or a touch ignoring mode in response to the touch input, and, when a touch validity of the touch input is positive, the controller controls the touch mode to be switched to a touch accepting mode or a touch ignoring mode based on a force validity of the touch input.

    Abstract: An extended reality (XR) device and a method for controlling the same are disclosed. The XR device is applicable to 5G communication technology, robot technology, autonomous driving technology, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. The XR device includes a communication module configured to communicate with a Head-Mounted Display (HMD) that is worn by a user to provide the user with Virtual Reality (VR) content, a camera configured to receive an image of a first space including the user, and a processor configured to transmit VR content to the HMD through the communication module. The processor recognizes a position of the user and positions of a plurality of real-world objects within an image of the first space. When the user moves closer to at least one of the recognized objects by a predetermined distance or less, the processor warns the user of possibility of collision with the at least one recognized object.
