Abstract: A method for controlling an air conditioner system may include receiving, by one of an outdoor unit and a plurality of indoor units in a group, a command; transmitting, by the outdoor unit, a channel scan command to the plurality of indoor units; performing a channel scan by each of the outdoor unit and the plurality of indoor units; transmitting, by the plurality of indoor units, channel scan results to the outdoor unit; determining, by the outdoor unit, a channel to be used among a plurality of pre-set channels of a particular group based on a result of the channel scan performed by the outdoor unit and the channel scan results received from the plurality of indoor units; and outputting, by the outdoor unit, information on the channel to the plurality of indoor units. According to this method, an optimal wireless communication channel may be set.

Abstract: A method for controlling an air conditioner system may include a preset reception rate degradation error occurs in one or more indoor unit, transmitting a channel switch request signal to an outdoor unit belonging to a particular group; performing a channel scan by each of the outdoor unit and the plurality of indoor units; transmitting, by the plurality of indoor units, channel scan results to the outdoor unit; determining, by the outdoor unit, a channel to be used by the particular group based on a result of a channel scan performed by the outdoor unit and the channel scan results received from the plurality of indoor units; and outputting, by the outdoor unit, information on the channel to the plurality of indoor units. Accordingly, the communication channel may be changed to an optimal communication channel according to a change a communication environment.

Abstract: Disclosed is an air conditioner system comprising at least one outdoor unit and a plurality of indoor units. The plurality of units may be grouped into one or more groups. A wireless communication module may be provided at each of the plurality of units and configured to perform wireless communication using a Sub-GHz frequency band. The wireless communication module may include an encoder configured to encode a predetermined signal, a modulator configured to modulate the encoded signal according to Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) using multiple subcarriers, at least one antenna having an antenna pattern formed on a Printed Circuit Board (PCB), and configured to output a signal based on the modulated signal, a demodulator configured to demodulate a signal received at the at least one antenna, according to the OFDM, and a decoder configured to decode the demodulated signal. Accordingly, a high-quality wireless communication environment may be implemented.

Abstract: A method of controlling an air conditioner system, the method including transmitting, by a first unit among a plurality of units belonging to a particular group, a wireless tuning command to a second unit; measuring, by the second unit, reception sensitivity and a transmission and reception success rate by wirelessly communicating with units belonging to the particular group while reducing a signal strength from a default signal strength; when the reception sensitivity and the transmission and reception success rate satisfy the predetermined standard, determining, by the second unit, that the signal strength corresponding to a level right before a level satisfying a predetermined standard is the signal strength to be used; and transmitting, by the second unit, information related to the determined signal strength to the first unit. Accordingly, an optimal signal strength at which mutual interference is prevented may be set.
