Abstract: A pressure sensitive adhesive used in optical applications. The pressure sensitive adhesive contains a modified cyclodextrin having a degree of modification of more than 2.5 and 3.0 or less. The gel fraction of the pressure sensitive adhesive is 1.0% or more. Such a pressure sensitive adhesive is excellent in the durability even at high temperatures.

Abstract: A pressure sensitive adhesive sheet includes at least a pressure sensitive adhesive layer, wherein the gel fraction of a pressure sensitive adhesive that constitutes the pressure sensitive adhesive layer is less than 10%, and the 500% modulus when performing a tensile test at 23° C. for the pressure sensitive adhesive layer is 0.02 N/mm2 or more and 5 N/mm2 or less. In the pressure sensitive adhesive sheet, the pressure sensitive adhesive that constitutes the pressure sensitive adhesive layer may contain a polymer having a main chain obtained by copolymerizing an acrylic-based monomer and a cyclodextrin derivative having a polymerizable group. Such a pressure sensitive adhesive sheet enables the pressure sensitive adhesive layer to be recycled.
