Abstract: A one-component moisture-curing adhesive composition is provided, comprising from 80 to 100 wt % of an isocyanate-functional prepolymer obtainable by reacting (a) a polyisocyanates mixture having an average nominal isocyanate functionality in the range of from above 2.00 to below 2.05, and (b) a polyol mixture, wherein the equivalent ratio between isocyanate groups in (a) and hydroxyl groups in (b) is in the range of from 3.5 to 7.0, wherein the content of free isocyanate groups in the adhesive composition is in the range of from 14 to 17 wt %, and wherein polyisocyanates mixture (a) comprises (a1) a diisocyanate comprising methyl diphenyl diisocyanate in excess of (a2) a uretonimine-modified methyl diphenyl diisocyanate comprising at least 3 isocyanate functional groups. A method of bonding a first piece of material to a second piece of material using such adhesive composition, and an object made from the method, are also provided.

Abstract: A marker transfer tape includes a transfer material layer that extends along a length and width of the marker transfer tape and an adhesive layer along a bottom side of the transfer material layer. The marker transfer tape includes a marker separation cut that defines a first removable portion, a second removable portion, and a plurality of markers between the first and second removable portions such that the markers are centrally located along the width of the marker transfer tape and spaced apart along the length of the marker transfer tape. The markers are applied to the surface by: adhering the marker transfer tape to the surface; peeling off the first removable portion; and peeling off the second removable portion.

Abstract: A method of applying a paint film to a substrate may include wetting a surface of the substrate or an adhesive layer of a paint film to form a fluid layer thereon. The paint film may further comprise a polymer film layer. The method may further include applying the paint film to the substrate such that the fluid layer is positioned between the adhesive layer and the surface. The applied paint film may be heated with infrared heat to facilitate the removal of the fluid layer and adhere the adhesive layer to the surface. Systems and devices for applying a paint film to a substrate are also disclosed.

Abstract: Disclosed is a high-performance repair tape for a backboard of a photovoltaic module. The tape comprises a base material layer, a functional adhesive layer, and a release material layer provided in sequence from top to bottom; the base material layer is formed of a polyester thin film material; the functional adhesive layer is formed of a high weather-resistance adhesive. According to the high-performance repair tape for a backboard of a photovoltaic module, and a manufacturing method therefor provided by the present invention, by selecting a weather-resistant base material layer, effects, such as water resisting, insulation, and ultraviolet radiation resistance, can be achieved, and a backboard independence effect is achieved; by selecting a weather-resistant adhesive for the functional adhesive layer, the weather resistance, high temperature resistance, and yellowing resistance of the tape can be improved; the tape has a strong bonding strength and is not easy to peel off, and the tape is easy to fit and facilitates construction.
