Abstract: A battery pack in one aspect of the present disclosure includes a battery and a controller provided with a counter value. During discharge of the battery pack, the controller calculates an addition value in accordance with a total number of use of the battery pack under a specified condition. The controller updates the counter value by adding the addition value. The controller prohibits the discharge of the battery pack in response to the counter value reaching a protection threshold.

Abstract: A battery pack is configured to supply electric power to an electric work machine, such as a power tool or outdoor power equipment. The battery pack includes a first battery-signal terminal and a second battery-signal terminal. The first battery-signal terminal outputs, to the electric work machine, a first signal indicating that discharging is to be prohibited or permitted. The second battery-signal terminal outputs, to the electric work machine, a second signal indicating that discharging is to be prohibited or permitted. Thus, two communication paths are provided for transmitting signals to permit or prohibit discharging of the battery pack.

Abstract: A power supply system includes a wearing part worn on a hand of a worker, a connecting member held by the wearing part, and a control circuit. The connecting member is disposed at a position where it is attached to a tool-side attachment part provided on a grip of a power tool when the worker grips the grip. The connecting member includes, in an exposed manner, a power source terminal that supplies electric power to the power tool and a signal terminal that receives a response signal from the power tool, which are electrically connected to the power tool in an attached state where the connecting member is attached to the tool-side attachment part. The control circuit makes the power source terminal and a power source unit electrically continuous when the signal terminal receives the response signal and makes them electrically discontinuous when the signal terminal receives no response signal.

Abstract: A battery pack includes an attaching portion, a battery, a voltage detection circuit, a current acquisition circuit, a next current calculation circuit, a first charging stop circuit, and a second charging stop circuit. The first charging stop circuit stops charging of the battery in response to a first condition being satisfied. The second charging stop circuit stops the charging of the battery in response to a second condition different from the first condition being satisfied.

Abstract: A battery pack includes one or more battery cells, a control circuit, a communication circuit, and a switching control circuit. The switching control circuit is configured to switch the control circuit from a controlled-operation state to a low-power operation state in response to a communication-stop time exceeding a state-switching threshold, the communication-stop time being a duration of a state in which the control circuit or the communication circuit detects no communication with the charger, and the state-switching threshold being determined in advance, so that power consumption of the control circuit can be reduced upon completion of a charging operation.
