Abstract: The wireless communication device includes one or more wireless transceivers and a controller. The one or more wireless transceivers detect(s) one or more first frequency bands of one or more cellular networks, and detect(s) one or more second frequency bands of one or more non-cellular networks. The controller selects one of the first frequency bands and one of the second frequency bands, which do not overlap, and assigns the selected first frequency band to one of the wireless transceivers, thereby enabling one of the wireless transceivers to camp on a cell on the selected first frequency band. Also, the controller assigns the selected second frequency band to one of the wireless transceivers, thereby enabling one of the wireless transceivers to connect to one of the non-cellular networks on the selected second frequency band.

Abstract: A downlink bandwidth control method is applicable to a network device including a first queue for first traffic and a second queue for second traffic, and includes: determining whether traffic the network device is receiving meets a predetermined criterion associated with the first traffic; acquiring a total downlink bandwidth between the network device and another network device; and in response to determining that the traffic the network device is receiving meets the predetermined criterion associated with the first traffic, setting an upper bound of a download speed of the second traffic to a decreased value according to the total downlink bandwidth, wherein the decreased value is equal to a portion of the total downlink bandwidth.

The at least one buffer allocated in the first storage device is recycled through direct memory access (DMA) management, and is reused for buffering at least one other packet.

Abstract: The mobile communication device supports a plurality of RATs and includes a first wireless transceiver, a second wireless transceiver, and a controller. The first wireless transceiver performs wireless transmission and reception to and from a first cellular network utilizing a first RAT. The second wireless transceiver obtains a non-cellular signal indicator. The controller determines whether the first RAT is a predetermined one of the plurality of RATs when the mobile communication device camps on the first cellular network, and if not, predicts whether there is a second cellular network available, which utilizes the predetermined RAT, based on the non-cellular signal indicator. In response to predicting that the second cellular network is available based on the non-cellular signal indicator, the controller further enables the mobile communication device to camp on the second cellular network via the first wireless transceiver.
