    Abstract: A method by a rendering device includes receiving a request to render multiple surfaces corresponding to multiple virtual objects to be concurrently displayed on an augmented-reality (AR) headset. The method further includes that the AR headset is connected to the rendering device via a wireless link. In response to a determination that a network quality of the wireless link is below a threshold condition, the method further includes selecting a first subset of the multiple surfaces that are higher priority than a second subset of the plurality of surfaces. The method includes transmitting the first subset of multiple surfaces to the AR headset for display and transmitting the second subset of multiple surfaces to the AR headset for display after transmitting the first subset. This method includes rendering the surfaces in accordance with a set of rendering parameters so as to satisfy one or more network constraints.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for iterative distributed beam selection include a device including at least one of a first head wearable display (HWD), a second HWD, a first console or a second console. The device detects a predefined condition. The device performs a first distributed beam selection responsive to detecting the predefined condition. Performing the first distributed beam selection includes performing beamforming to provide a first plurality of beams for a first link between the first HWD and the first console, selecting a first beam of the first link with a highest signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) from the first plurality of beams, performing beamforming to provide a second plurality of beams for a second link between the second HWD and the second console while the first beam of the first link is active, and selecting a second beam of the second link with a highest SINR from the second plurality of beams.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein a system, a method and a device for dynamic scheduling between a head wearable display and a console is provided. The head wearable display can initiate, at a first time instance, a first downlink transmission to the console. The head wearable display can dynamically indicate, to the console, an end of the first downlink transmission, at a second time instance when transfer of data of the first downlink transmission is complete. The head wearable display can dynamically cause, relative to the second time instance, the console to begin an uplink transmission. The head wearable display can receive an indication to dynamically start a second downlink transmission, at a third time instance when transfer of data of the uplink transmission is complete.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein a system, a method and a device for selecting between a primary link and a secondary link for AR/VR applications. A console can provide a VR/AR session to a user through a head wearable display. The console can determine that a first measurement of a primary link between the console and a head wearable display is less than a first threshold. The first measurement can include a quality metric of the primary link. The console can activate a secondary link between the console and the head wearable display. The console can determine whether a second measurement of the primary link between the console and the head wearable display is less than a second threshold. The console can transition when the second measurement is less than the second threshold, traffic on the primary link to the activated secondary link.
