Abstract: A system and method for enhancing a collaborative camera installation experience is disclosed. The method includes running an at least substantially similar test analytic on each of the first video and the second video to generate: first analytic output data corresponding to analytic processing of the first video; and second analytic output data corresponding to analytic processing of the second video. The method also includes assembling for Graphical User Interface (GUI) display to the security camera acquirer, the first and second analytic output data, or performance data derived therefrom. The method also includes, after the assembling for the GUI display, receiving input that one of a plurality of three-dimensionally defined points is selected, thereby identifying a confirmed installation point where a video security camera, different than an at least one substitutional camera, will be permanently installed.

Abstract: A device, system and method for controlling quality of service of communication devices based on a predicted hazard path is provided. From an initial location of a hazard in a building and an electronic representation of the building, a predicted hazard path through the building is determined, as well as geofences, each associated with a respective weight. Geofences that include the predicted hazard path have a higher weight than geofences that exclude the predicted hazard path. Respective network quality of service for communication devices is controlled based on their locations in the building, relative to the geofences, such that a first communication device located in a first geofence that includes the predicted hazard path receives better network quality of service than a second communication device located in a second geofence that excludes the predicted hazard path, the second geofence having a lower weight than the first geofence.

Abstract: Methods and systems for providing a correct voice command. One system includes a communication device that includes an electronic processor configured to receive a first voice command via a microphone and analyze the first voice command using a first type of voice recognition. The electronic processor determines that an action to be performed in accordance with the first voice command is unrecognizable based on the analysis using the first type of voice recognition. The electronic processor transmits the first voice command to a remote electronic computing device accompanying a request requesting that the first voice command be analyzed using a second type of voice recognition different from the first type of voice recognition. The electronic processor receives, from the remote electronic computing device, a second voice command corresponding to the action and different from the first voice command, and outputs, with a speaker, the second voice command.

Abstract: Method and device for providing safe zone information. The method includes receiving a map of an incident area sensor information from at least one sensor at the incident area. The method also includes determining a multi-dimensional model of the incident area based on the map of the incident area and the sensor information and determining a first threat location based on the sensor information, the map of the incident area, and the multi-dimensional model of the incident area. The method further includes determining a plurality of safe zone shadow areas based on the first threat location. The method also includes updating the multi-dimensional model of the incident area to include the plurality of safe zone shadow areas and to generate a safe zone shadow representation of the incident area and transmitting the safe zone shadow representation to at least one user device in the incident area.

Abstract: A portable radio is provided that performs an impedance measurement to determine a radio frequency (RF) load type connected to an antenna port of the portable radio. The portable radio includes an impedance measurement circuit and a tunable matching circuit operatively coupled thereto through an RF switch A sweep generator injects an LMR frequency sweep to the RF load during non-transmit or non-receive time slots for the impedance measurement. The tunable matching circuit is configured as a radio frequency (RF) bypass during the impedance measurement, thereby enabling the impedance measurement circuit to directly measure the impedance of the RF load coupled to the RF port and identify the RF load as either a land mobile radio (LMR) antenna or equipment (wideband load). When the RF load is determined to be an LMR antenna, then the matching circuitry is tuned for the identified antenna. When the RF load is determined to be wideband equipment, then the matching circuitry remains bypassed.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for PTT over IoT is described herein. During operation each IoT device will be assigned to a talkgroup. Some talkgroups may have a single IoT device assigned, some IoT device may have multiple talkgroups assigned, and other talkgroups may have multiple IoT devices assigned. During operation, an action command is received over a first talkgroup and a first command type is issued to a first IoT device assigned to that talkgroup. A second action command is received over a second talkgroup and a second command type is issued to a second IoT device assigned to the second talkgroup. When determine that multiple radios are issuing action command to the same IoT device through PTT talkgroup, create a new PTT talkgroup to be populated with the multiple radios.
