Abstract:
A method and apparatus for operating a camera are provided herein. During operation of the camera, a first field of view (FOV) for the camera will be determined along with “undesirable” camera directions. A determination is made whether or not to obtain images from the camera based on whether or not the first FOV is aligned with an undesirable camera direction.
Abstract:
A process and system for enabling a 360-degree threat detection sensor system that is physically coupled to a vehicle to monitor an area of interest surrounding the vehicle. An electronic computing device selects an area of interest surrounding a vehicle stop location to be monitored by the sensor system. When the sensor system has an obstructed field-of-view of the area of interest, the electronic computing device determines a new vehicle stop location at which the sensor system has an unobstructed field-of-view of the area of interest when the vehicle is to be stopped at the new vehicle stop location. The electronic computing device then transmits an instruction to a target electronic device to provide an electronic indication identifying the new vehicle stop location to a registered occupant of the vehicle, or autonomously control the vehicle to stop at the new vehicle stop location.
Abstract:
Systems for personalized intent prediction may perform a process including receiving image data depicting the behavior of a person on approach toward a secure location, generating intent data including data representing a current trajectory of the person on the current approach, comparing the intent data with a personal statistical model for the person that includes data representing trajectories associated with historical approaches by the person toward the secure location and respective result data indicating whether the historical approach resulted in the person entering the secure location, determining, dependent on the comparing, a personalized intent score representing a likelihood that the person intends to enter the secure location on the current approach, and pre-emptively enabling, or refraining from pre-emptively enabling, entry to the secure location prior to the person reaching the secure location based on whether the personalized intent score meets or exceeds a predetermined minimum confidence threshold for enabling entry.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for intelligent traffic stop classifier loading are provided. A processor may receive a plurality of inputs related to a current context of a law enforcement officer. Based on the plurality of inputs, it may be determined that the current context of the law enforcement officer is a vehicle traffic stop. An image classifier may be loaded onto an image capture device associated with the law enforcement officer based on the vehicle traffic stop determination. An object type associated with the image classifier may be scanned for using the image classifier loaded onto the image capture device.
Abstract:
A system and method for modifying a search request corresponding to a person, object, or entity (POE) of interest. The system includes a POE search controller that detects a POE search request, extracts POE of interest metadata including one or more features associated with the POE of interest, generates a POE detection classifier based on the one or more features, identifies types of data capturing devices that are capable of capturing data for detection of the POE of interest, determines data capturing settings based on the POE of interest metadata and respective device type associated with data capturing devices, generates a modified POE search request including the POE detection classifier and respective data capturing settings for each of the one or more types of data capturing devices, and transmits the modified POE search request to one or more communication devices.
Abstract:
A method, system and computer program product for intelligent tracking and transformation between interconnected sensor devices of mixed type is disclosed. Metadata derived from image data from a camera is compared to different metadata derived from radar data from a radar device to determine whether an object in a Field of View (FOV) of one of the camera and the radar device is an identified object that was previously in the FOV of the other of the camera and the radar device.
Abstract:
A method and server for determining the current location of a person of interest (POI) is provided. The server receives a first indication that a first searcher has identified a POI and requests first route information from the first searcher. Upon receiving the first route information from the first searcher, the server determines if second route information relating to the person of interest has been received from a second searcher. If so, the server determines a search area for the person of interest based at least in part upon the first route information and the second route information.
Abstract:
A first device in a group of devices is assigned a role of operating as an elected leader node for the group of devices. The elected leader node determines that a sensor entity of a sensor entity type is associated with one device in the group of communication devices. The elected leader node creates a token and associates the token with the sensor entity. The elected leader node also assigns ownership for the token to one device based on the device being associated with the sensor entity and further based on one or more of: at least one incident allocation criterion; at least one sensor entity allocation criterion; and at least one node allocation criterion. One device executes at least one predefined sensor entity rule associated with the sensor resource type based on ownership of the token assigned to the sensor entity.
Abstract:
A method for authentication queuing in access control systems is provided. The method may include establishing, by an access control system, a first wireless connection with a mobile device. The method further includes authenticating the mobile device over the first wireless connection. The method also includes adding the mobile device to a first authenticated devices queue associated with a first physical access point. The method includes sending a reconnection parameter to the mobile device. The method additionally includes disconnecting the first wireless connection to the mobile device.
