摘要： Vinyl chloride-grafted ethylene copolymer superior in adhesiveness both to metals, glasses or polar high molecular materials such as polyamides and to non-rigid vinyl chloride resins is provided in which backbone polymer is copolymer of ethylene, ester of monohydric alcohol of 1-8 carbon atoms with acrylic acid or methacrylic acid and maleic anhydride and pendant or grafting polymer is vinyl chloride polymer. This copolymer is produced by graft-polymerization of vinyl chloride onto the ethylene-acrylic or methacrylic ester-maleic anhydride copolymer.

摘要： A method for producing a vinyl chloride resin comprising 10 to 80% by weight of tetrahydrofuran-insoluble vinyl chloride resin gel fraction and the balance of tetrahydrofuran-soluble fraction with an average polymerization degree of 1,000 or more, characterized in that vinyl chloride alone or a mixture of a major amount of vinyl chloride and a minor amount of at least one monomer copolymerizable therewith is polymerized at a temperature of 0.degree. to 50.degree. C. in the presence of at least one polyfunctional monomer having two or more ethylenic double bonds in the molecule until the whole monomer or monomers in the polymerization system are substantially polymerized. The thus obtained vinyl chloride resin is excellent in processability and capable of forming a molded article having a small compression permanent set.

摘要： Equipments for polymerization of vinyl chloride monomers characterized in that the inside wall of the polymerization vessel and/or the surface of attachments to the vessel which are brought into contact with said monomers are wholly or partially made of mirror-polished ferritic stainless steel containing 15 to 40% by weight of chromium, 0.5 to 5% by weight of molybdenum, not more than 0.5% by weight of nickel, not more than 0.05% by weight of carbon and not more than 0.05% by weight of nitrogen, or mirror-polished duplex-phase stainless steel comprising a ferrite phase and an austenitic phase.

摘要： A composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a vinyl chloride type resin and 25 to 200 parts by weight of a plasticizer, the vinyl chloride type resin being composed of 1 to 90% by weight of tetrahydrofuran-insoluble gel fraction and the balance of tetrahydrofuran-soluble fraction. This composition gives a rubbery elastomer having an excellent heat deformation resistance and an excellent matt finish and a small compression permanent set. Though it is close to rubber in properties, the composition has a moldability and processability similar to those of conventional thermoplastic resins, and can be formed into a sheet for interior material of automobile, a packing, a tube, etc.

摘要： In a process for polymerizing vinyl chloride monomer by the polymerization of vinyl chloride alone or a mixture of vinyl chloride as a main component and a monomer copolymerizable therewith in an aqueous medium, an improvement which comprises carrying out said polymerization in the presence of a polycyclic nitrogen-containing compound of the formula, ##STR1## wherein m and n are each an integer of 1 to 3, the amount of said compound being 1 ppm to less than 100 ppm by weight based on said monomer or monomer mixture. By this process, it is possible to substantially prevent the formation of scale attached to the polymerization vessel and the like without damaging the physical properties of the produced vinyl chloride polymer.
