摘要： An image-formation control apparatus is connected to an image forming apparatus for forming an image on a medium with a plurality of color materials. The image-formation control apparatus includes a receiving unit and a first calibration unit. The receiving unit receives an image formation command, which is to be executed by the image forming apparatus. The first calibration unit generates a first formation command to form a first number of color patches for adjusting output characteristics of the color materials in the image forming apparatus and outputs the generated first formation command to the image forming apparatus. The first calibration unit calculates an estimated consumption amount of each color material used in the image forming apparatus on a basis of the received image formation command and determines colors of the color patches formed on a patch sheet on a basis of the estimated consumption amount.

摘要： An image-formation control apparatus is connected to an image forming apparatus for forming an image on a medium with a plurality of color materials. The image-formation control apparatus includes a receiving unit and a first calibration unit. The receiving unit receives an image formation command, which is to be executed by the image forming apparatus. 摘要： In an image forming method and apparatus, a starting point location is acquired for carrying out rasterization of a subfile by interpreting a page descriptive language in the subfile, which is contained in a page print information file, and region size information for forming an image is also acquired from the subfile. Further, any non-interpretable description in the subfile is detected, and when a non-interpretable description is detected in the subfile, a predetermined image is formed at a predetermined position specified by either the starting point location or the starting point location and the region size information.

摘要： The image processing apparatus includes: a color conversion unit color-converting an image signal of a first color space into that of a second color space by using a color conversion characteristic defining a correspondence relationship between the image signals of the first and second color spaces; an adjustment unit adjusting the image signal of the second color space, in accordance with a change in the color conversion characteristic; a correction unit correcting a conversion factor group for adjustment used when the image signal of the second color space is adjusted; and a judgment unit judging whether the conversion factor group needs to be corrected, on the basis of a color measurement result of a second color sample group including color samples the number of which is smaller than that of color samples in a first color sample group on which color measurement is performed to create the conversion factor group.

The image processing method includes: generating profiles for color reproduction, classified for each of recording papers, from at least one of particular characteristic data of the each recording paper, which is generated on the basis of factors that affect color reproduction and particular generation information of the each recording paper, which is obtained by printing plural patch patterns at the recording paper and performing colorimetry of the printed patch patterns; and when implementing basic extraction control for extracting a profile that matches in at least one of the characteristic data and the generation information, if no profile that matches in at least one of the characteristic data and the generation information is extracted, extracting a profile that approximates in accordance with a pre-specified order of priority determination procedure to be a candidate.

摘要： According to an aspect of the invention, an image processing apparatus includes an adjustment section, an edge enhancement section, a reception section and a changing section. The adjustment section performs adjustment of a black amount for an input image signal including a plurality of color signals. The adjustment section outputs an output image signal including a plurality of color signals that contain black whose amount is adjusted. The edge enhancement section performs an edge enhancement process for the output image signal output from the adjustment section. The reception section receives setting of an edge enhancement degree used in the edge enhancement section. The changing section changes setting of the adjustment of the black amount in the adjustment section, according to the setting of the edge enhancement degree received by the reception section.
