    摘要: A mirror surface angle adjusting device is provided which can be used at both left and right outer mirror devices of a vehicle. At a mirror driving unit, positional relationships between respective points (fulcrum of swinging A1 and A2, first adjusting points B1 and B2, second adjusting points C1 and C2, first mounting points D1 and D2, second mounting points E1 and E2, and third mounting points F1 and F2) are set such that the points have line symmetry with respect to 45° direction reference lines P1, P2. Accordingly, from a functional standpoint as well, there are no obstacles at a time of mounting, and as a result, a same type of mirror driving unit can be used at both a left door mirror device and a right door mirror device.

    摘要: A connection arrangement for a mirror back supporting plate and a mirror support member in a mirror case for an automobile outer mirror assembly comprises a connecting portion of the mirror back supporting plate being held between a connecting portion of the mirror support member and a clutch member and these members being connected to each other by a connecting member. The connecting member extends through a through-hole of the clutch member and also through a through-hole of the mirror back supporting plate. After being passed through the through-holes, the connecting member is rotated 90 degrees about its axis so that it is mounted to the mirror back supporting plate. Therefore, the mirror back supporting plate and the mirror supporting member can be easily connected together.

    摘要: A mirror surface angle detector which can be used in common with a mirror surface angle adjusting device of a mirror. The mirror surface angle of the mirror is adjusted by oscillation of the mirror by the mirror surface angle adjusting device. The mirror surface angle detector for detecting the mirror surface angle of the mirror is provided separately from the mirror surface angle adjusting device, and is incorporated into the mirror surface angle adjusting device such that engagement claws provided at the mirror surface angle detector engage with engagement holes provided at the mirror surface angle adjusting device. When the mirror surface angle detector is removed from the mirror surface angle adjusting device, the mirror surface angle adjusting device can also be used in a type of vehicle which does not have a mirror surface angle detector in the mirror surface angle adjusting device. Therefore, vehicles of different types can make common use of the mirror surface angle adjusting device.

    摘要: In a mirror surface angle adjusting device of the present invention, supplying terminals of a connector is inserted into insertion holes of a case thereby electric power is supplied to a motor within the case. Thus the motor is driven to adjust the mirror surface angle of the mirror body. A closing plate of the connector substantially closes the interior of first waterproofing walls provided on a periphery of the insertion holes. A second water proofing wall is provided at the connector. In this way, it is possible to suppress entering of water into the first waterproofing walls.

    摘要: A door mirror assembly having a sealing arrangement between opposed faces of mirror stay and mirror case to seal a clearance therebetween. The sealing arrangement includes annular outer and inner flexible lip members projecting, respectively, from a curved end face of case in parallel and neighboring with each other. The outer lip member is slightly higher than the inner lip member to contact the opposed end face in a normal condition, that is, when centers of the curved end faces are concentrically arranged. When the center of the curved end face is erroneously arranged to be eccentric to the center of the curved end face so as to be too close to the stay, the inner lip comes to be in contact with the end face of the stay.

    摘要: In a vehicle door mirror device, a bracket is divided into a frame and a case member. Thus, the frame and the like for a vehicle right side and for a vehicle left side can both hold a mirror at a vehicle rear side thereof. A mounting hole and a supporting hole of a case member are provided to be symmetrical with respect to a vertical plane which passes through a widthwise direction center of the case member. Thus, even if a common case member is used both for a vehicle right side and for a vehicle left side by left and right sides of the case member being reversed, the mounting hole of the case member can be mounted to the frame and the like for the vehicle right side and the vehicle left side.

A mirror glass is held by a back holder which includes a flange engaging a front surface of an edge of the mirror glass. The flange has a plurality of projections extending from the flange to contact the glass surface. The projections maintain a predetermined gap between the inner surface of the flange and the glass surface so that the pumping action and cavitation of the water drops in the gap are prevented.

A tip engaging part (14) of the engaging part (15) is formed with a thickness substantially equal to a depth of the concave (10) of the base (1). The base cover (3) has a first projection (16) circumferentially continuous relative to the base part (13). The base (1) has a second projection (18) which is proximate to the first projection (16) and which is positioned radially outwardly relative to the first projection (16).

    摘要: A rear view mirror assembly for a motor vehicle, includes a mirror holder for supporting a mirror body, an operating threaded shaft movable backward and forward along an approximate axial direction thereof in a mirror case, and a nut member connected with a driving device in the case. The holder is supported to be inclinable around a lateral and/or a vertical incline center axes with respect to the case. The head of the shaft is fitted in the fitting portion of the holder to be inclinable relative to the fitting portion. The screwed portion of the shaft is screwed in the nut member. The nut member has an annular projecting portion for sliding on a circumferential surface of the shaft. The specified portion of the shaft, which is positioned at the opposite side to the holder and away from the screwed portion, is penetrated through a through hole formed by the projecting portion to be movable backward and forward along the approximate axial direction of the shaft and inclinable therearound. By driving of the device, the nut member is rotated either backward or forward to move the shaft along the approximate axial direction thereof relative to the case and then to incline the holder relative to the case.

    摘要: An outer mirror for use in a motor vehicle is designed to prevent or attenuate chattering vibrations which a mirror holder holding a mirror produces against a mirror visor. This outer mirror assembly is provided with a first vibration-preventive member which is used in the mirror holder and with a second vibration-preventive member which is housed in a mirror visor and held in slidable contact with the first vibration-preventive member. The slidable surface of the first vibration-preventive member forms a curve which satisfies a condition that the inclination .alpha.' of the tangential line at each contact point of the two vibration-preventive members is always larger than the angle of friction .lambda. between the two vibration-preventive members. According to this structure, the first vibration-preventive member or the mirror holder is always given an outwardly acting force by the second vibration-preventive member which is provided with a spring. The force acting only in one direction assuredly prevents a mirror holder from producing chattering vibrations.
