    Abstract: Techniques are provided for modifying a printer cartridge and an imaging drum unit intended for installation in one type of printer to be installed in another type of printer or a plurality of printers. In one aspect, a method of modifying a toner cartridge may include modifying one or more end plate of the toner cartridge. In another aspect, a method of modifying a toner cartridge may include replacing one or more end plates of the toner cartridge with replacement end plates. In yet another aspect of the present invention, an imaging drum unit may include modifying one or more end plates of the imaging drum unit. In another aspect, an imaging drum unit may include replacing one or more end plates with replacement end plates.

    Abstract: Techniques for modifying a toner cartridge intended to operate with a first type of imaging device to operate in a second type of imaging device. The toner cartridge includes a drum shutter connected to a waste bin, with the drum shutter including first and second shutter arms. A method of modifying the toner cartridge intended for operation in the first type of imaging device to operate in a second type of imaging device includes removing a portion of the first shutter arm. In another aspect, the method includes removing a portion of the waste bin adjacent to the first shutter arm. In another aspect, the method includes removing a second portion of the waste bin to form a hole in the waste bin and attaching a chip mounting patch to the waste bin to fill the hole. A computer chip may be attached to the chip mounting patch.

    Abstract: A printer cartridge and method of making or refurbishing a printer cartridge are disclosed. The printer cartridge may include a first cartridge subassembly attached to a second cartridge subassembly. The first cartridge subassembly may include a first conductive terminal and the second cartridge subassembly may include a second conductive terminal that is normally in electrical contact with the first conductive terminal when the first and second subassemblies are assembled. A compressible toner seal may be disposed between the first and second cartridge subassemblies. A compressible, electrically conductive extension may be attached to the first conductive terminal to compensate for variations in thickness of the compressible toner seal or relative movement of the first cartridge subassembly relative to the second cartridge subassembly when the first and second subassemblies are attached to one another to form the printer cartridge.

The receiving section and the pick-up section are divided by an inlet. The receiving section has a concave sloping ramp and side walls. The pick-up section has a trough with a floor that slopes relative to a horizontal surface and a front wall at one end of the trough. The inlet is defined by a rear wall and the upper edge of the trough. The chute also includes dividers mounted to and rising above the trough and attached to the rear wall.     Abstract: A system for evaporating excess water from a source includes a housing having: an air inlet, the air inlet directing air in a first direction; an air outlet; a plurality of channels arranged generally perpendicular to the first direction, the channels having undulations; and a water reservoir that feeds water into the channels.
