摘要： An offset assembly for a circuit breaker includes at least one two plane member having a first plate and a second plate. The first and second plates are joined at an edge and extend generally perpendicular to each other. The second plate is structured to be coupled to the quick disconnect and the first plate is structured to be coupled to the circuit breaker terminal so that the second plate is not aligned with the centerline of the circuit breaker terminal.

摘要： A shutter assembly for a shuttered bus assembly is provided. The shuttered bus assembly is coupled to a circuit breaker housing assembly. The circuit breaker housing assembly is structured to enclose a circuit breaker assembly. The circuit breaker assembly is structured to move generally horizontally in and out of the circuit breaker housing assembly. The circuit breaker assembly has a plurality of finger connectors extending generally horizontally from the back side of the circuit breaker assembly. The shuttered bus assembly has at least one pair of conductors which extend toward the front of said housing assembly. The finger connectors are structured to engage the conductors. The shutter assembly includes a mounting assembly and a door panel. The mounting assembly is structured to be coupled to the housing assembly. The door panel has at least one opening and at least one door member, the door panel extends across the housing assembly and is disposed between the plurality of conductors and the circuit breaker assembly when the circuit breaker assembly is out of the housing assembly, the door panel is further coupled to the mounting assembly. The at least one door member is disposed in the at least one opening and is coupled to the door panel by a hinge. The door member is structured to move between a first closed position and a second open position. The door member is structured to be moved to the second position by the finger connectors as the circuit breaker assembly is moved into the housing assembly.

摘要： A secondary disconnect assembly is provided for a racking assembly of an electrical switching apparatus, such as a circuit breaker. The racking assembly movably couples the circuit breaker to a switchgear enclosure. The secondary disconnect assembly includes a mounting assembly having an elongated mounting member. The elongated mounting member has first and second opposing ends and first and second opposing sides. A sliding assembly is movably coupled to the first side between the first and second ends. A latching member is pivotably coupled to the sliding assembly. The latching member moves between an unlatched position corresponding to the circuit breaker being movable independently with respect to the sliding assembly, and a latched position corresponding to the latching member fixedly coupling the sliding assembly to the circuit breaker in order that the circuit breaker moves with the sliding assembly. The racking assembly may also include a position indicator.

The shutter assembly includes a pair of cover members that each have a ramped engagement surface and that are movable between a first position in which the corresponding primary contact of the electrical bus member is isolated and a second position in which the cover members are offset from the primary contact to allow the circuit breaker to be connected with the primary contact and the electrical bus member.

摘要： A shutter assembly is provided for an electrical system including at least one electrical switching apparatus, such as a circuit breaker, and a plurality of electrical bus members, and a plurality of electrical cable members, and a ground member with a plurality of contacts. Each of the conductors of the circuit breaker is removably coupled to a corresponding primary contact to electrically connect the circuit breaker to the electrical bus members and to electrically connect the circuit breaker to the electrical cable members and to electrically connect the circuit breaker to the ground members. The shutter assembly includes a flexible insulating member movably disposed between the conductors and the primary contacts. The flexible insulating member moves between a first position in which it provides access for the conductors to be coupled to the primary contacts, and a second position in which the flexible insulating member isolates and electrically insulates the bus member conductors from the primary contacts and the cable member conductors (“disconnected”) or isolates and electrically insulates the cable member conductors from the primary contacts and the ground member (“withdrawn”). An electrical switching apparatus and an electrical system employing the shutter assembly are also disclosed.
